🎁 TYLER'S PØV 🎁

"I think I screwed it up"

"Yeah you did..." (and wow I risked the awkwardness for you hoping to fix stuff but nooooo) "It's fine...we'll just find some other chance."

"It's alright Ty. Let's just pretend nothing ever happened."

...Am I supposed to stop myself from being bothered by this? I sighed and continued down the corridor with Ray, looking through the windows of each classroom as we passed. Half of the classes had just ended and it was our lunchtime.

I spot pink hair.

"Josh Dun!" I called from behind the glass, and Ray stopped to wait. He was just getting out of his seat when he spotted me, saying "HEY" or something but I couldn't hear anyway because wow these windows were soundproof.

Josh briefly waved to a girl he was talking to, and came out of his classroom. Her long wavy hair was all I could see from my angle, and it was a strangely familiar shade of brown.

"Come eat with us."

"You know I don't like the food at..."

"But oh look what's this," I cut him off, pulling out a small blue lunch box from my pocket and handed it to him. Meanwhile, Frank had walked past and Ray got him to come with us too.

"Whoa." Who knew a tiny box could be filled with such. Uh. How does one describe this SMELL???

"Just wait till you try it," Ray told me. "Tyler has only given me the honour of eating it twice. It's like a piece of heaven falls from the sky into your mouth."

Five round chocolate chip cookies were in the box, it's wasn't the typical kind you find at Subway, these were shaped funny and weren't as flat and big. If you held them, all five could pile up and fit in one hand.

"Josh just eat them alreadyyy," Frank, who was sitting beside me was sniffing the lid of the box and getting high off the aroma. Tyler simply watched me from across the table.

I bit into one and I bet my eyes became the size of the moon.

"NICE ISN'T IT?" I had to agree with Princess Fro Fro (that's what Frank called him)

"CAN I HAVE ONE?"

"Sorry Frank, but maybe some other day," Ty shook his head.

And Frank's like :(((

"Tyler doesn't give it to everybody, he's got his reasons," Ray explained, "and plus, he makes them with his grandparents only like...twice a year?"

"It's frickin amazing, Tyler. Omg, thanks."

"Just glad you like it" he smiled.

Then he said something about his grandmother not being able to help make the cookies this time, so it was just his grandfather baking with him.

Wait. Did he make these cookies so I'd stop skipping lunch? :/

How nice of Tyler. It was sweet.

Literally.

🌛 RAY'S PØV🌛

Talking about grandparents, the subject of the conversation slowly turned into Gee. Oh seriously, I've given up already. Tyler's more bothered about this than I am, when I'm the one who screwed stuff up.

There's not much use telling me what to do. I know Ty is always right, but what if I don't care whether he's right? I felt increasingly distant from these people trying to help me.

Tyler sighed like he often does. "Let's just give him some space." and the three of them became quiet.

Either way, I wasn't gonna tell them it's no use. It'll only disappoint them. These people are concerned for me, it can get annoying sometimes, but I guess it was better than no one giving a damn at all.

It's nice someone cares.

===============

Kay let's talk about FAKE YOU OUT.

Firstly I really wanna say that there's no right or wrong interpretation for ANY TØP song. They were all written such that people can relate their own lives to it, and everyone experiences vastly different things so our views are different too. I love that about Twenty Øne Piløts.

But this chapter is based on the interpretation for Fake You Out on genius.com, it wasn't exactly what I thought of but it's cool.

Basically, have you ever felt hopeless at something and already given up, yet people are frantically tryna help you, and you don't wanna disappoint them? Yeah, sucks right. (That's me and my Chinese grades right now.)

Ahaha and yeah I talked a lot about cookies, sorry, it's another side story and you'll see sooner or later.

...sometimes I wonder why people read this. So many fillers I can't even
