Hoseok smiled looking over his shoulder. They had finally found a similar interest. Maybe that would make him like her more. He had started to feel bad for his behavior lately and wanted to make it up to her. He did find himself starting most of the time. It was the worst thing ever especially when she caught him in the act. It made him want to run away. He never did though.
Jae Hwa ran her hands over the mixing table in awe. Her eyes were bigger than normal and she looked like a completely different person. This did not look like the girl that fought against thugs and was bruised from head to toe.
The girl that was standing in front of him was a girl that admired music. How could he not have realized that before?
«Do you like it?» he asked amused by her reactions. She looked at him as if he was crazy.
«Of course, I love it. It's so cool. How did you get the money to buy a studio like this?» she asked amazed. She walked over to the chair, sitting down in it, spinning around.
Hoseok had completely forgotten that. How would he explain the expensive equipment? It was not like he could say he found it. That would be quite unbelievable.
«Uhm, I saved up money»
Jae Hwa gasped. «Saved up money? How much did you work? Is that why you always look so tired? Oh my, you should take care of yourself,» she rambled, turning to face him. Hoseok sent her a nod. He didn't know why, but he felt like she would treat him the same if she found out he was the richest boy in the country.
Maybe he should tell her the truth?
No. That would be too risky. You could never know. Suddenly she could turn into a lunatic.
His dad had told him to never trust women completely. He had never liked that saying because it just confirmed how inhuman is dad was. It was almost embarrassing.
«Wanna hear some of my work?» he asked nervously, scratching the back of his neck. He had never shared these tracks with anyone so he was quite nervous, and having an insanely pretty girl watching him wasn't any better.
«You want to show me some of your work, really? I mean, if you want to. That would be a pleasure,» she rambled on again. Hoseok smiled to himself. She was cute when she got nervous.
He walked into the recording room and waited for the beat to come. It had been ages since he rapped the last time. It was amazing feeling the flow take over. Right at that moment, he forgot that he was supposed to be home tomorrow eating dinner with an important business partner and that his parents wanted him to get married next fall. He forgot who he was and just lived in the moment. That's why he loved music.
He ripped off his headphones, walking out to Jae Hwa again. She was sitting in the chair with her eyes closed. She had tears falling down from her eyes, layering on top of her skin like crystals.
He sat down on the table, facing her, waiting for her to open her eyes.
«Did you like it?» he asked nervously. She opened her eyes, nodding repeatedly.
She stood up from the chair and wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. He was startled at first. It felt really weird, but he liked it. She tightened the grip.
«You don't have to fight all these battles alone. I hope you know that. You're not weak just because you ask for help,» she whispered in his ear. He pulled back, looking at her.
«Thank you for being the first person to ever listen to my personal tracks. That's a big step for me. Showing it to a girl I barely know,» he admitted shyly.
She nodded as if she understood what he was aiming to. She understood him better than he understood himself at times. How did she do it?
«If you don't mind, could we start over? I was a douche for the longest time. I have problems with getting used to new people, but I would very much like to get to know you better,» he said with a smile.
Jae Hwa smiled. Who would have thought she would end up here with him in his studio. She felt privileged.
«I would love that»
