Good news.
We didn't get disintegrated.
Bad news.
I was bleeding. We stepped out of the elevator and into Olympus.
I can't really explain what it looked like, but the architecture was brilliant.
"My half sister designed this place. Annabeth Chase.", Clare said as we stumbled along the beautiful scenery. Nymphs, dryads, and other ghostly things lived in harmony together. I was glad that the village they lived in was a bit far from the entrance. No one noticed the blood soaked, fruit cocktail teens roaming around.
I remember Annabeth. It seemed like a million years since I've talked to her.
Nathan was in awe. He probably didn't expect Olympus to be so...what's the word...astounding I guess.
Clare put a hand on my back, and shocked me back into reality. When her hand pulled away, it was all golden and shiny.
"The guard. He called you a goddess.", she started putting the puzzle pieces together.
"You bleed blood but...golden ichor too..."
Why do Athena kids gotta be so dam curious?
"I'll explain it to you later, I promise. No one's really suppose to know.", I pulled Clare and Nathan along. I really didn't know what else to tell them.
To our right stood a large, massive building shaped like a dome. The walls screamed Ancient Greek designs.
Annabeth Chase was a really good architect.
"The gods must be in there. They make us watch this super long video about the rules on Olympus.", Clare shook her head as if the video had scarred her for life.
"They had somethin' about Dionysis's underwear in that video."
"So we're just gonna barge in through those huge doors, in the middle of their video? Won't the gods get a little pissed off?", Nathan asked.
"I'm sure your tiny knife can handle it.", I teased.
I really should've listened to Nathan.
The doors were huge, and extremely difficult to push open. I think the gods noticed they had some new visitors and paused the video. The doors suddenly swung open on their own.
Nathan, Clare and I walked in like superstars, swinging our weapons around powerfully.
You know I wish that happened, but my luck hasn't exactly been on my side for the past few days.
We actually fell on top of each other, silencing the whole room. Two demigods and a demi-goddess, or whatever I am, struggled to stand up. I think I stained part of the floor with my golden ichor blood.
Talk about a badass entrance.
The room was enormous as it had to fit twelve giant gods. They were huge and scary. That's all I really can say. The gods each sat in their own thrones, all looking at someone in particular.
You guessed it. They all stared at me.
There was a hearth in the middle with a young hooded teen sitting at the edge of Zeus's throne. I realized it was Hestia, the goddess of the hearth. She gave me an encouraging smile, but I looked away.
Around the Hearth were all hundred some demigods sitting around, facing a floating tv screen in the center.
Yes, Olympus has floating TV screens. Don't ask how. Just tell me when they restock them at BestBuy.
Chiron stood up, clearing his throat.
"Clare, Nathan, Terra. You're late.", he stretched out the word late, meaning that he's probably gonna kill us after this.
I caught a glimpse of Rachel, and she looked really scared for us. Same, Rachel. Same.
My throat cowered with fear, becoming dry and impossible to speak. Thank gods for Clare.
"We apologize, Chiron. Nathan and I went to find Terra. We weren't going to leave her behind.", she explained, and Athena crossed her giant arms. She was dressed in battle armor, her black hair down and free. Beside her sat a large shield and spear. I made eye contact with the goddess, and suddenly it hit me.
Those grey eyes. Athena is the one who knows who I am. She has the answer.
I made a mental note to speak to Athena later. I was too focused on not getting turned into ashes first.
Chiron sighed, and a goddess who sat on a throne made of beautiful vines and flowers spoke up.
"Seems like you did a little more than find her.", Demeter spoke, eyeing the squashed tomatoes on my sweater.
"It's...a long story.", I smirked, but it quickly vanished. In a room with all the gods had given away so much power, I felt like I was about to combust.
"Presentation is over. Head out to the dining pavilion. Breakfast will be served.", Zeus spoke, his voice frightened me.
I heard a lot of sighs of relief from the demigods, they've probably have been stuck in the room for an hour or so.
Clare tugged me along the crowd, and I blended in with the others. I'd wonder how many people noticed the golden stains on my sweater.
Chiron eventually pulled us three aside as the other campers began eating breakfast. Mind you, it was like twelve o' clock.
"Where in gods name have you been?", he asked, his hooves clicking nervously against the concrete.
"I sleep walked into the woods, and missed the bus. Clare and Nathan came to find me. We took a cab to Manhattan, visited my mom, killed a few monsters in a grocery store, then finally arrived.", I think I summed it up pretty well.
Chiron sighed, and Rachel joined him.
"You have to start being careful. Until we get a prophecy, or you get claimed, we have to keep you under the radar.", she glanced at Nathan and Clare.
"They saw my golden blood. They helped me get here, too. They deserve to know.", I said, and Clare took my hand, squeezing it.
"It does not get past them, understand?", Chiron said. He was really irritated with me.
That pretty much sums up my relationship with everyone.
I nodded, and we were dismissed to the large and fancy outdoor dining pavilion. The smell of food made my stomach grumble, but I really needed to change out of my clothes. The tomatoes were starting to rot.
Clare helped me out by giving me her extra clothes. I thought it was kind of cool that Olympus had cabins for demigods to stay in similar to Camp Half Blood. Only you're able to choose your cabin.
No more getting pranked at night.
I took a well needed shower, washing away the grocery store smell and sweat.
I changed into jeans and an orange t-shirt like everybody else, and tied my brown hair back.
The cabins were very clean, and smelled of licorice and soap. Man, I love Olympus.
I stared at myself in a mirror placed on one side of the wall.
My green eyes were almost blue in the lighting, and I felt like a normal teen for once. That didn't last very long.
A hand came around my shoulder and I spun back, face to face with a powerful aura.
A gorgeous woman, her braided hair brown and chocolate eyes stared into me.
The goddess, Aphrodite.
"Terra!", she clapped her hands, excited.
"You have such a tragic love life. And I love it!", she exclaimed, and I took a step back even though she smelled so good.
"I-I don't have a love life.", I said, which was true.
"Of course you do. You're a goddess. You're meant to break people's hearts and fall in love over and over again.", Aphrodite turned to the mirror, fixing almost a microscopic mistake with her lipstick.
"I appreciate the advice, lady Aphrodite, but I'm not like the rest of the gods. I'm not immortal."
Aphrodite went silent, and I thought she was going to make nail polish out of me.
"What do you mean you're not immortal?", she asked, her face turning sour.
This is probably the first time anyone has said this, but Aphrodite didn't look gorgeous anymore. She looked terrifying.
"So this isn't a disguise?", she asked, pinching my skin.
"Ow.", I rubbed the new red mark on my arm.
She stared at me silently, contemplating.
"You're fortunate the other gods haven't discovered who you are yet.", she said, and snapped her fingers. A ball of powder appeared and patted her already perfect face.
"Wait. You know who I am?", I asked, anticipating and hoping she knew.
"I suppose I might have an idea where you came from, but that doesn't matter. .", her smile returned.
"Your love life is about to get much more interesting. So remember love, I'm always watching.", she winked at me, and then vanished the next moment.
Yeah, Im totally a normal teenager.
