As you could probably tell, I didn't get a lot of sleep that night. Good ol' Le Black figure kept me up, wondering and kind of scared for myself.
Will was pretty shaken from whatever I brought him into. I felt bad for making Nico worry about him.
Rachel and Chiron seemed just as tired and confused. We all decided to finally get some closure for the day. I didn't expect to sleep, and I was right.
I tossed and turned, every once and a while some Hermes kid would whisper from their bunk to tell me to stop moving around.
It was that time of night where everyone slept like a rock. I counted about three hours of sleep. I didn't know how I'd be able to wake up in the morning.
"Help."
A ragged voice from outside echoed into the cabin, and I sat up, my ears searching the silence for another glimpse of the voice. I shook my head and decided I was officially hearing voices.
"Help."
Or not.
I tossed the covers over and grabbed a flashlight from inside a bag I first got when I arrived at camp. They even have their own sponsors by gods and everything. I really don't know how that works.
I opened the cabin door to the windy night, it creaked quietly.
"Help."
The voice sounded farther now, and I followed it, shivering in my t shirt and pj pants. The wind blew my hair back and made my eyes water, but I continued to walk in the darkness. My bare feet froze on the cool grass. The flashlight made a path as I spun around in a circle examining the darkness.
If that black thing comes out...
I shivered, shaking my head from the thought.
As if on cue in a horror movie, a hand grabbed mine, and I spun around, kicking away whatever touched me.
"Owww.", the flashlight revealed a guy, his brown hair matted down and his blue eyes teary from the cold winds. He looked like death. Literally, if he doubled over any minute and died, I wouldn't be surprised.
"Did you really have to kick me that hard?", he rubbed the side of his torn shirt, avoiding eye contact with me.
"S-sorry.", I whispered, shivering and approaching him. I felt like this was some rendition of Tarzan. His wild eyes and torn clothing, and my relaxed and calm state colliding.
He was crouched over on the ground, and from what he looked like I could tell he just got to camp, and not by an Uber. Suddenly I remembered that I was a newbie just yesterday.
Ironic, wasn't it?
"I can help.", I crouched down and helped him stand up. From what I could tell he was a few inches taller than me, lean and...well, smelly.
"You need a shower.", I told him, guiding him to Chiron's large cottage.
"You need a mint."
I squinted at him, and decided to let it go. Then I checked my breath just in case.
We got to the big house, and that was all I saw from him last night.
An unknown guy, lost just like me. Brown hair, blue eyes, and a really, really sassy attitude. I wish I asked him for his name.
I wondered what he had to go through to get here.
Ostrya's seed laid on the nightstand next to my bunk, and finally I slept.

The next morning was a blur, but I was excited. We were packing for the annual Olympus visit, and maybe, just maybe, I'd finally get some answers.
I sat next to the new kid at breakfast. All eyes were on him as we ate at the Hermes table. I couldn't blame anyone, the guy cleaned up pretty nicely.
"Where'd you learn to kick like that?", he said, stuffing himself with waffles and eggs.
I shrugged, barely touching my food. I caught a glimpse of Clare staring from the Athena table, and she gave me a look that said,
"Oh la la."
She's so into him.
"I'm Nate.", he finally introduced himself. I could tell he was uneasy being around all of these campers.
Chiron finally showed up in a hassle and out of breath as he took to the front of the pavilion.
"New camper. Nathan.", then he galloped away, and I noticed a few of his undergarments tied to his tail. Several campers began laughing.
"That was a warm welcome.", Nate said, his fingers tapping nervously against the wooden table.
"Yeah...I'm Terra.". I felt like I had introduced myself about a million times the past three days.
"So, can you tell me about this Olympus thing tomorrow?", he asked, his blue eyes lit up.
"Hey, I just got here like two days ago, but the camp takes annual visits to Olympus on the winter solstice to meet the gods or whatever.", I found myself stumbling with my words.
Talk like a normal person, you moron.
Nate nodded, pushing back his brown hair from his forehead.
"Someone told me we have to bring sacrificial cows..."
I rolled my eyes.
"You can't exactly take everyone seriously here. And it's not cows, it's lambs."
He blinked.
"I'm kidding."
"I, uh, knew that."
"I'm sure you did."

Nate was a pro at archery. Like, an amazing pro. Pretty sure the gods were like
Ha! A newbie is more experienced than you!
I was pulling another arrow from my quiver, but it got lodged against other bows. I tugged on it with frustration and ended up spilling all the bows from my quiver. I sighed, and Will came by laughing.
"Definitely not the daughter of Apollo.", he chuckled and Nico came out of his shadow, which still scared me a little.
Will helped me pick up the bows while Nico played a game of reverse Jenga on Will's hair with the arrows he picked up.
I caught a glimpse of Clare and Nate at the end of the archery line, laughing together.
I see you, Clare.
I smiled, and Nico nudged Will.
"We get it, he's cute.", Nico rolled his eyes.
"Really cute. He'll probably end up being my brother or something.", Will winked at Nico.
"Don't be jealous.", he said, and Nico's face turned red as he crossed his arms.
I couldn't pay attention to my training after that. Clare and Nate stayed with each other for the rest of the drills and training.

We ended dinner early to have some time to pack for our few days on Olympus.
I was anxious, and eager to find an answer to who I was, and maybe even get claimed.
On the other hand, Chiron said the gods may notice I'm a little bit more powerful, and probably destroy me on sight.
The possibilities are endless!
I sat on my bunk, a small backpack packed for Olympus. I held Ostrya's seed in my hand, and the cabin felt silent even though it was packed with Hermes and undetermined campers.
Then I noticed Nate sitting cross legged on an empty bunk. He had nothing but a stained picture in his hands.
"Hey, you pack real fast.", I teased, sitting down next to him.
He smiled, and I felt really weird being next to him.
What a nice looking human being.
"Yeah, I really don't have anything to take with me besides what ever clothes Horse Man gave me."
I felt sorry for him, and turned my attention to the photo he held. He noticed my eyes and folded it, tucking it away into his pockets.
"Sorry, didn't mean to snoop."
"It's alright.", he sighed, not knowing what else to do.
Suddenly, I had a really strange idea.
"Can you do something for me?", I asked him, and he nodded.
I grabbed his hand with his palm up, and gently placed Ostrya's seed in his hand.
"We've all lost someone to get here...so when we're on Olympus, can you plant this seed for me?"
He looked confused with his messy brown hair and deep blue eyes. Nate was different, and for some reason I trusted him with Ostrya's seed.
He stared down at the large brown seed in his hand, and I realized I was still holding his wrist.
"Yeah. I'll plant it, for you."

For you.
