It was a cold autumn night in the middle of November. Halloween had come and gone, but that didn't stop you from watching horror movies. You were a giant wuss, and oftentimes had a problem even starting to watch one, let alone finish one. Brian, on the other hand, loved that type of thing. It always stumped you how someone could be so into it, but it was whatever. Everybody is different.

Tonight you vowed to change that. You had about 3 different blankets, Brian, and your laptop. You were going to watch a scary movie. You weren't gonna back down. You settled on the floor in the living room, laid on your stomach next to Bri, and put a giant comforter across both of you.

There's no way to ease yourself into this kind of thing, so naturally, you chose something horrid to start with. The Blair Witch Project. "Are you sure you want to do this?..." Brian asked you while placing a comforting hand on your arm. You looked him in the eyes, sighed, and nodded your head. He smiled and kissed your forehead as he played the movie.

You were already latched onto his arm for dear life and it was only a minute in. You heard him chuckle. "Really, babe? Literally nothing has happened yet." he said while nudging his arm. "Better safe than sorry!!" you said quietly against his welcoming bicep.

Honestly you didn't even watch the movie. You were too busy shoving the covers over your head and pressing yourself against your oh-so-patient husband. All you saw was maybe the first minute and then bits and pieces afterward, but you heard everything. It wasn't pretty. Bri jumped here and there but nothing like you would've done. Screaming, probably some crying... not pretty.

"Okay, the movie's over. How did you like it?-" he said before looking down at you. "Oh." he added after he noticed you were hiding under the covers. You gave him a coy smile and he just nodded in response. "I should have expected that." he said as you sat back up to his level and smiled at him.

"You know what? That's okay. We'll try again some other time. How about you go find a better movie more suitable for you." he said, pulling you into a tight hug and kissing the top of your head. You smiled wide and giggled into his chest.
