7: Fun Fright

"Mark! Lilly!" I yell, running up to the two and hugging them both. "Hey Y/n! Hi Dan!" Mark says happily. "Hi," Dan says awkwardly. "Let's go! I wanna ride a roller coaster." I say excitedly. I walk with Dan and leave Mark and Lilly to lead us. I don't want Dan to feel left out.

"I can't wait to ride a roller coaster!" I say eagerly. Dan agrees with my silently, nodding. I look at him. This is so amazing, he's here. Not on a screen, he's here with me. I find myself wanting to be even closer to Dan. "How long are we staying? Not that it matters, I just would like to know." Dan says. "Well Fright Fest is tonight." I say really to everyone. "So we should stay till eleven?" Lilly suggest. "Yes! That would be so fun!" Mark pipes in. "We should establish who's riding with who now so we don't have any problems." Lilly says. "I think Dan and Y/n should ride together." Mark says looking at Lilly. I look between the two. What are they up to? Maybe they have a thing going on and they want to ride together. Ooh! I ship it! Lilark? Milly? Marilly? Hmmm... I like Lilark. "Agreed!" I looked over at Dan to see a small smile dancing on his lips.

He might be excited he won't have to ride with anyone he barely knows that'd be awkward. "Let's go wait in line for this one." Mark says. We all agree silently and walk over to the first roller coaster. It wasn't as big as some of the other ones but it looks fun. Screaming people passed us, the roller coaster taking them up once more and into a loop. We waited, making conversation with each other. I started playing a game on my phone. Unfortunately, I lost.

"Aw man!" I pout. "What's wrong?" Dan ask. "I lost!" I crossed my arms and pretended to be mad. "Aw you're so adorable! You must be protected at all costs," he laughs. A blush creeps it's way onto my cheeks. I couldn't help but form a small smile. I know he's joking but if Dan continues to say stuff like that I'll be mush on the ground. I shake my head.

We walk up to the bars that keep us from getting into the train. The next train comes forward and they let everyone out of their seats. "It's almost our turn!" I say excitedly. "So what are we gonna do tonight?" Dan asked. "So we'll be going through haunted houses, dance, ride more rides, and see lots of weird stuff. It'll be fun." I tell him. "Will we see a woman snake?" He asked.

"Why in the hell do you wanna see a woman snake?" I ask. "It sounds cool!" He says. "Wow your into stuff like that?" I smirked and cocked a brow at him. "No! God no!" He shakes his head. I laugh at him.

They open the gates and we all filled up one cart, Mark and Lilly sitting behind Dan and I. I put our stuff in a cubby then I sit back down next to Dan. We all pull down the over-the-shoulder restraints and buckle the buckles. They come around and check our seats to make sure we're gonna be okay.

My heart started to beat a bit faster as I got more excited. "Are you ready for this?" Mark ask in a deep but loud enough for us to hear voice. "Yes! I'm ready to go!" Lilly says back. I shake my head at the two. They look cute together. The people who were running the roller coaster gave the OK sign to go then the ride started. We started moving forward. Moments later we came to a rough stop then the ride started to go up. I looked over at Dan. "Count down the seconds from five with me!" I tell him. "Alright!" He agrees. We reached the top. We both counted down. "5..4..3..2..1..!" We all yelled and screamed as we zoomed down the track. We twist and turned seeming like we were too close to the bars. We went through a loop and a bit of drool tried to escape my lips, I caught it and wiped it in time. We made another big turn before coming to another rough stop. The next train went forward and so did we. Once we came to a stop again they unlocked the restraints. We pushed them up and unbuckled ourselves. I grabbed our stuff then we made our way out.
