Voices - Chapter 41

Riley's POV:

I got up the next morning, yawning. Perrie and I had a fun night last night - it was good to have the heartbreak talked out.

I got out of bed, shivering as my feet touched the cold wood floor.

After braiding my hair in two french braids, I sipped on black jeans, gulping.

Harry always wears black jeans.

Everything reminds me of him lately.

I slid on a "Forever Young" long sleeve shirt. I slid on some red lipstick and black combat boots, I grabbed my purse and headed out the door.

What was I going to say to Niall?

I secretly always loved you?

Ha. No.

I've always felt a connection like no other-

Never.

Perrie suggested I come here. Would you want to go on a date with me?

That's not half bad.

I decided to walk to the hospital today, it was only a couple blocks, plus it wasn't too cold.

I walked down the streets of London, admiring the scenery. 

I walked straight up to the hospital without knowing.

I went immeditaly to the front desk. "Hi, I'm here to see Niall Horan," I said sweetly.

The secretary directed me down the hall and I stopped in front of Niall's room.

I heard voices.

"Yes, I finished Phase One, okay? It's done with. She's coming to see you this afternoon."

That sounded like Perrie.

"Good. Greg, what's next?"

That was Niall.

"Well, once Riley is with Niall, I'll have to deal with Harry," a deep voice said.

My heart rate quickened.

Were they trying to break Harry and I up?

Well, we weren't technically on speaking terms right now.

Management has probably already set him up with Kendall.

Life hasn't been very nice to me lately.

I was still in front of the door when Perrie and Greg walked out.

Perrie gasped, sputtering. Greg elbowed her in the ribs.

"O-hh, um, hi Riley," she said loudly.

I face-palmed myself.

"You guys already know I heard what you said." I reminded them.

Greg leaned forward and looked at me - hard.

"Riley!" Niall chirped. Niall was still sitting on the hospital bed, all hooked up with wires.

"No." I said and stalked out of the hospital.
