Song for the Chapter: Skyfall - Adele
~ Merry Christmas! ~
Zayn's POV:
"You have to go?" Lexie whined. I nodded and kissed her.
She smiled.
I slipped on a pair of sweats, a t-shirt and a hoodie.
"Be back soon," I told her.
Driving to Riley's house, I was a bit worried.
Had she and Harry had a fight? Maybe it was the twins?
I arrived at the big red door and knocked. The door opened to reveal Riley.
"C'mon." She pulled my arm and guided me upstairs. Opening the door to one of the bedrooms, I went in. She slammed and locked the door behind me.
"Riley."
I heard her go downstairs.
I looked around the room to find a figure huddled in the corner of the room. It was a girl. She had her knees drawn to her chest, and her head stayed down by her chest.
"Perrie?"
She lifted her head up to reveal her bright blue eyes.
"Zayn." Her voice was tired, run-down.
"How's Greg?" I sneered. I was still disgusted. I was still broken.
"I-I'm pregnant." She choked out.
I drew in my breath. "Pregnant? Who's the dad?"
"Greg." She said his name distastefully. "And he doesn't believe the baby is his. He refuses to father the baby." Her voice cracked at the end.
She tugged the blanket around her shoulders tighter.
"I have no one." I heard her whisper.
We sat in silence, listening to Perrie's quiet cries.
"You know I'm always here for you."
She looked up at me with a smile. "Really?"
"Yes." I hugged her and I felt her breath a sigh of relief. I saw her look at my lips and she leaned closer.
"No." I said and pushed her away gently. "I will be there for you, but not in that way."
I got up and paced back and forth.
"I have to go." Perrie croaked and ran to the door. Pulling a pin out of her hair and jammed it in the lock. She fled the room, leaving me with my thoughts.
I love Lexie. Right?
But I was sure that I could spend my whole life with Perrie.
I weighed the pro's and con's.
The paps would be happier if I went with Perrie. So would management. And the band.
The boys find Lexie to be a bit clingy, I don't agree. She just has some trust issues.
Perrie was...
Different from anyone else I had ever met.
She had these little quirks. Like if she laughed too hard, she snorted twice and then her laugh became silent. She was tickleish on the back of her right side. She had a freckle on her left ear.
Lexie was special too though. She played guitar, and she was amazing with kids. She had a huge heart and was a really good cook too.
Riley appeared in the doorway. "What did you do?" She seethed. "I have a crying Perrie downstairs now."
"She tried to kiss me."
"And you rejected it?" Riley growled.
"I had to. I have a waiting Lexie at home."
"I love Lexie. You know I do, Zayn, but you and Perrie are made to be. I see the way you look at each other. It's the way Harry and I look at each other, it's love. Now, I'm leaving you to think about it. Choose wisely." She advised me.
Lexie and I could have a future together.
But Perrie has a little future in her stomach right now.
I walked downstairs, wringing my hands. "Hey Per? Can I talk to you?" She followed me to the next room. I sat down, the couch creaking underneath my weight. "Perrie. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You bring light to my dark days and-"
"Then why did you leave?" Perrie asked softly.
The sudden fire that had been extinguised in the pit of my stomach rose up. "You cheated on me. And you have the nerve to ask me why I left you?" I yelled. Perrie flinched.
"Woah, mate, calm down." Harry appeared in the doorway.
"I won't calm down," I growled.
Harry held Perrie's shaking shoulder's and guided her out of the room.
"Mate, let's get you upstairs."
"I'm not going upstairs, mate. I'm going home."
