Riley's POV:
I was in tears as I ran to my car, belligerent at Niall.
I just had an entire talk with him about how he can't have a crush on me, and he kisses me!
I arrived home, to see that our entire house was covered in a tarp.
I sighed. What did Harry do now?
I moved the blue tarp out of the way to open the door and saw Harry sitting on the couch, on his phone. He immediately looked up and grinned. His eyes twinkled.
"Harold, why is our house covered in a tarp?" I asked, fists clenched.
"Our house?" he repeated, smirking.
I was done.
Too many surprises today.
The song, the kiss, and now this stupid tarp.
I growled at him.
"It's part of the surprise," he protested.
"Harry, you know I hate surprises." I said.
I hadn't always hated surprises. When I was little, my dad, 'surprised' me by telling me that he and my mom were getting a divorce. Yea, such a great surprise.
Harry snapped me out of my daydream when he peeked out the window.
"It looks like it's dark enough," he said before grabbing my hand.
He pulled me out of the house, and with all of his strength, tugged on the tarp.
It slightly moved, before falling completely on the front lawn.
I gasped.
"Harry Edward-"
"Wait."
Harry had covered our entire house with lights. Christmas lights.
He went behind a bush and plugged them in.
The lights lit up and I hugged Harry.
This was just what I needed.
A little Christmas spirit.
