A/N: I kinda based the story on FireRed,  I mean what happened after that... so technically in this story Blue's the boy and Green is the girl.. Don't forget to vote, okay?

Chapter 2 ~ Training

[Red's POV]

I'm now eating breakfast with Skylar, Lace and Pika in a café in Celadon City. I'm really glad to see Skylar again. It's been a relief having her around. We've only met once, and she saved our lives; Pika's and mine. Lace and Pika have finished their food and are now playing near us. I see that Pika missed Lace. When I first met Skylar, Pika and Lace already enjoyed each other's company. And they still do. I'm finished eating my breakfast- which is a stack of pancakes, the same as Skylar's. She's almost finished eating, and there are a couple things I wanted to ask her.

When she's finally done eating, I talk to her. ''Congratulations, by the way.''

''Thanks. Although I'd gladly give the title back to Blue, but he didn't want it back. He said that he didn't want the title back unless he defeats me in a match.'' she says, taking a sip of iced tea. Pika climbs up the table and goes to her. ''Pika, pika?'' he asks. ''Of course. I have nothing to do for the rest of the day, anyway.'' Skylar says.

''How's your Pokémon collection?'' I asked. ''Good. I've recently caught Reshiram and Cobalion.'' she says. Reshiram and Cobalion are legendary Pokémon. That's three legendaries already.  Pika and Lace went back to us. ''Pikachu!'' Pika said alarmingly. ''Glace.'' Lace agreed.

''Red! Red!'' a crowd yells.

Suddenly paparazzi came in and approached me, buzzing with cameras and recording devices. ''Pika.'' Pikachu said to Skylar. I sighed and tried to put on my best behavior. I'm looking forward to spend the whole day with Lace and Skylar, and not being interviewed by random reporters. Skylar laughed at all the fuss caused by the reporters.

''So Red, what's the latest news on your Pokédex?''

''Have you caught any new Pokémon yet?''

''How's your training?''

''Any problems with Team Rocket so far?''

''Uh..........'' I trailed off, not sure what to say. I didn't really like answering their questions, I don't like interviews much. I stay alone with my Pokémon for the most of the time to avoid situations like this. As far as possible, I avoid cities and other public places.

''Is that your girlfriend?'' one asked, pointing to Skylar, who blushed.

''I certainly am not!'' she said, her the color of her face suddenly amusing me.

Skylar is not my girlfriend. We aren't even close!

''Why don't we ask Pika instead?'' another suggested. ''Pika, is Red dating this beautiful young lady?''

''Pika pi!'' Pikachu said. ''Aww, come on. They're dating, right?'' the reporter tries again. Pika shook his head in reply. The reporters turn to me.

I cleared my throat for silence. ''I deny it.'' I said and stood up, taking Skylar's wrist, who is still blushing. What the hell?!?

''Let's get out of here.'' I told her and pushed through the crowd until we finally made it outside. Pika and Lace quickly followed behind us. ''Come on, they're most likely to follow us.'' I said. Skylar nodded at me as we started running. We went to Route 7 to escape the crazy paparazzi. That's why I don't like showing myself to the public. I prefer traveling with no one else but my Pokémon. ''Pika!'' Pikachu sweatdropped. Skylar and Lace sat on the ground to rest. ''That...... Was...... Exhausting.... '' Skylar panted. ''At least no one's chasing us anymore.'' I said and sat down beside her. ''I know... Does that happen all the time?'' she asks. ''Yeah. It does. That's why I often keep myself away from the public.'' I said. ''You're not asthmatic, right?'' I ask. I would be in big trouble if she is.  She shook her head and stood up. ''Hey, you're not going to leave us again like you did last time, are you?'' I asked her. Last time she left us at sunset , leaving a note of explanation in my hand.
