Chapter 10 ~ Typical

[Skylar's POV]

It's been two weeks of training with Gold and Pika. No news from Silver/Green/ Gramps so far. And if you think I should be worrying, you could say that I'm not.

I yawned, still sleepy. Good thing I shut the curtains to keep the light out of my face. I glanced at the clock. What, it's 10:53 AM already?! Did I really sleep that late last night? Huh, must have been that exhausted. Where's Pika anyway? Hmm, probably downstairs.

After taking a quick shower and changed my clothes (not much of a difference except for the purple collared vest), I went downstairs. The air smelled like steak....

Pika and Gold were on the sofa, watching a sports program. "Morning, Sky~!" Gold greeted me. "Pika pika." Pika greeted me too.

"Don't call me that." I told him, yawning and stretching my arms. Hopefully he won't ruin my mood for the rest of the day.

"Looks like you slept well."

"Clearly."

"There's volcanic steak in the kitchen and fries for breakfast... or should I say lunch."

"Thanks for the leftovers." I said and went to kitchen, where a plate of newly cooked volcanic steak proved me wrong. Wow, he even added some of his own spices. And there was a bowl of fries, with ketchup and mayo combo on a saucer.

Aww. How sweet of him to do something like this. I appreciate his effort a lot. I made myself two triple decker steak sandwiches, grabbed a glass of iced tea, then went back to the living room and sat across Pika.

"Can you really eat all that?" he asked in disbelief.

"You bet. You didn't add any hot sauce to your steak recipe, did you?"

"You didn't have any jalapeños in your kitchen. Even if you did, you obviously won't eat it anyway."

"Fair enough." I said, although I was already halfway through the first one.

The program on TV was a volleyball tournament, a team of Kirlias versus a team of Meditites.

"I wonder what happened to Yellow.. Man, he must be dreadfully worried about her.." said Gold.

"Who's worried?" I asked, but it was Pika who answered.

"Pika pi." Red is. Pika said.

"She's probably his closest friend ever. And someone who can make him express his emotions for once." Gold sighed.

"Pika, pika. Pika pi pika pika, pika." Last time when Red celebrated his birthday, the Dexholders made an agreement to try to crack a smile on his face. Only Yellow succeeded.

"It was really hard. I showed him a video of the Harlem Shake, and he didn't even budge. We might be best friends, but I'm not too close like Yellow is.." Gold said.

"Pika pika." Pika agreed.

Gold grinned. "Must be worried to death, Red must.."

Pika shocked him lightly.

"Okay, I get the point, it's not just Red, you too are worried about Yellow and Chuchu." Gold said, his hair crisp from Pika's electricity.

"Then if you guys are worried, why don't you go join Silver, Green and Red for the search?" I asked.

Gold shook his head. "Naw, I'm not risking the chances of Blue pissing you off sooner or later."

"Just go already. Take Pika."
