Chapter 18~ Sparks

[Skylar's POV]

The flight was so boring. The movie Silver watched wasn't quite interesting. The caramel popcorn was great, though.

"How many hours left?" I asked.

"Two and a quarter." Red told me, pulling his hat lower. Probably going to sleep.

"Please tell me you're kidding."

He laughed softly. "Sorry, but I'm not."

I looked over to the back, where Gold was still hijacking the snack bar. Silver was switching the channels back and forth on the movie screen.

I went out of my seat and walked over to Silver. "Silver, I'm bored."

"Skylar, there's a lot of things to do around here."

"Why are plane flights so long anyway." I sat down beside him.

"Then take a nap."

"I don't take afternoon naps."

"Go play with Gold. You know he loves challenges."

"Skylar, wake up. We're here." someone said, shaking my shoulder lightly.

"...Mnh..." I mumbled, refusing to wake up from my beautiful slumber.

"Skylar, wake up."

"........"

"You're drooling on my shoulder."

"........"

"Okay then, come on Red let's get on that ship."

"No!" I said and woke up. I didn't realize I had fallen asleep on Silver's shoulder. But I wasn't drooling!

Red was leaning on the wall beside the sofa, watching us with his arms folded.

"I actually fell asleep...." I said.

"Yeah, and Platinum's waiting for us at her mansion." Silver said. I simply pushed him off the sofa and lied back down.

"I have no intention of carrying you, so get up or we're leaving!"

"I'll ca-" Red started.

"Skylar, there's a bigger snack bar inside the Berlitz mansion than here. Are getting up or what? You said you didn't take afternoon naps." Silver cut him off.

I got off the sofa and followed them outside. There were beautiful rows of snow-covered trees and flowers along the stone paths, and there were (waterless) fountains in almost every corner. There was also a big mansion at the left, and frozen pools. And yes, it was snowing lightly. I didn't bring a jacket, I couldn't believe I forgot that it was snowing here in Sinnoh....

But wow..... So this is what a rich family's estate is like.

Silver took my hand and started leading me towards the mansion. "It's warmer inside. Platinum's eager to meet you."

So I'm finally meeting this famous Lady Platinum Berlitz. Cristial's cousin. I wondered what is she like.

Silver led me into a carpeted hallway with priceless works of art on the walls. They look the slightest bit familiar though. But it's my first time to visit here, it can't be possible.

"Platina, this is Skylar. Skylar, meet Lady Platinum Berlitz." Silver said. So this was the living room. It was indeed warmer inside. They were sitting on the sofas, chatting with each other. It's so big. There were at least a dozen velvet-covered sofas. I was easily distracted by the elegant paintings on the walls. They reminded me of something...... But I can't just put my finger on it.
