Chapter 17 ~ Treaty

[Red's POV]

We went around Viridian, not really saying much. I miss Pika. And Lace as well. Skylar misses them too, I'm sure of it. What my best friend told me during the past days has made me slightly worry about her.

"One thing you should know about her is that she loves her Pokémon more than anything else. She'll risk everything for their safety. Trust me." Gold told me before hanging up.

I found out that she was very reckless about her safety when it comes to the safety of others.

"Cheater of death."

And I did notice that even though Yellow wasn't that nice to her during the other day, she held on and didn't let her die.

"It's quite a selfless habit of hers, I dunno why."

Selfless. Yes, I agree with him very much.

"Although sometimes she tends to be childish and playful when she gets fussy...... Sometimes."

"Hey Red?" Skylar asked.

"Yes?"

"Have you met the Sinnoh Dexholders? What are they like?"

"Well, I've only met them a few times, during the annual Dexholders' reunion." I said. The reunion takes place once a year, and this time it will be in December. Last year it was November, last last year it was October, and so on. All of us Dexholders have a party at a specific place. "Maybe you should come to the reunion this year. They wouldn't mind if I bring a guest along." I suggested. It wasn't a bad idea.

"No thanks."

I thought of what happened earlier, and what might happen if I tried to persuade her to come. I didn't want to push her limits, so I guess I have no choice. I'll just have to ask Gold to convince her to come. Why do I want her to come, like I said, it'll be fun. The more the merrier, right?

"You haven't answered my question yet." she said, sitting down on a bench. I took  my place beside her. "You went to Sinnoh, didn't you meet them by any chance?" I asked.

She gave me a skeptical look and I understood. She doesn't want to talk about Sinnoh, right.

"There's Platina, or as some refer to Lady Berlitz, since she comes from a very rich family. She's intelligent, perseverative, brave and loyal to her friends. No offense, but you and Pearl have some similarities. He's usually hasty most of the time and often yells a lot. He might be impatient, but he's a strong trainer. Diamond, or Dia and him are best friends. They like practicing and performing their Manzai act. Dia loves food, I rarely not see him eating with his Pokémon. He's a good chef when it comes to poffins, trust me. He may look dopey and slow-witted when it comes to performing acts with Pearl, but in reality he's very perceptive and he can make sense out of illogical things. Dia's also like Gold, he has a knack when it comes to hatching Pokémon eggs. Those are the Sinnoh Dexholders." I explained.

Her eyes were filled with amazement. "They sound cool."

"Not as cool as me." I said, jokingly.

She laughed, smiling. "I know."

"You do?" I was flattered. Was she really serious?

"Just kidding. You do know that I haven't even met them."

I nodded. Too bad, I thought she was really serious.

"Yo, Skylaaar! Haven't I told you to pack your stuff yet? We're leaving for Sinnoh!" Blue yelled, running to us.
