Chapter 8 ~ Frozen
[Silver's POV]
This time Skylar sat behind me. I guess she can't really handle heights... Now I wonder why did Professor Oak want us to come immediately..
''Pika pi!'' Pika said. ''Honchkrow!'' Honchkrow said. The winds were getting stronger. I assumed they were headed for Unova. Guess there might be a storm approaching.
''So if we're going to the old man's lab, then... never mind..'' she said.
I remember Green calling me the other day, telling me that Blue was in the Pokémon Center..
[Flashback:]
''Silver!'' A snappy voice said as I answered my Pokégear. Who the hell would call me in the middle of the morning?!
''Hi, Green.'' I said, still half-asleep.
''You're very close with that Skylar girl, right? So did you know what happened to Blue?''
''Skylar? Yeah, I know her. And no, I don't know what happened to her rival.''
''Oh, so she didn't tell you then?'' Green taunted.
''Tell me what? I'm in Hoenn, you know. And it's three in the morning over here.'' I yawned.
''Well, for your information, Blue is badly injured because of her Pokémon.'''
''What do you mean?! I know Blue's her rival, but why would he get injured by her Pokémon?'' I asked, getting worried.
''That best friend of yours, she told her damned Giratina to attack him!'' I could tell that Green was really angry.
''Come on Green, can't we just talk about this tomorrow?''
''Hmph. I'm going to ask Red for help with this. Surely he can do something about this.''
''Like what? Challenge her to a battle? Seriously Green. What do you want me to do about this, anyway?''
''She brought a legendary Sinnoh Pokémonhere in Kanto! I want justice for this.''
''Okay, admit it, Green. You have a major crush on Blue, that's why you're asking me a favor." I frowned, getting more annoyed. I made sure to speak sarcastically, even unintentionally. "I promise I'll talk to her about this the next time I'll see her.''
I wanted to throw my freaking Pokégear at the wall already! Can't a Dexholder get a good night's sleep?
''Whatever, but tell Skylar that I'm ready for a battle when she has time.'' Green angrily said and hung up.
So if Blue's going to be there, then Green's bound to be there too. I sighed. I haven't completed my promise to her yet. Although she only sees me as a younger brother, she's still a very important person to me. She's my family already.
".......Do you think he told Gramps?" Skylar asked.
Probably. Is that the reason why the Kanto professor called? No idea. I've only met the old man a few times.
"Hmm... Maybe." Is all that I say.
Honestly, I don't know. It could be the most likely reason, but maybe it's something else important.
I'd love to stay out of Skylar's and Blue's business, but unfortunately Green dragged me in.
She squeezed my shoulders gently, then rested her forehead on my shoulder. I secretly smirked. Whenever she does that, I know that she's turning pale because of the altitude. I'm not sure if she has altitude sickness, though, but I think not.
