Chapter 3 ~ Scream

[Red's POV]

Later after a little while, the pizza that Skylar ordered got delivered. She forgot to buy dinner on her way from the grocery in Celadon City, so we agreed on having pizza for dinner instead. Thankfully Skylar returned Gen. Char earlier to its Poké ball so now there's more space in the living room. And now there's only one slice left of the pizza. Pika and I both stare at it, waiting for the other to take it. We both reach for it at the same time until a brown arm with yellow fluff grabbed it away. ''Pika!'' Pika protested. The arm belonged to a Lopunny. ''Lopunny!'' it said and shoved the last slice into its mouth. Skylar giggled. ''Aww, let Lopunny have it. Lopunny's my housekeeper, by the way.'' ''Figures why your house is still neat despite how you hardly come here.'' I said. The bunny Pokémon took the empty box and our empty glasses (we had soda), then disappeared into the kitchen. ''How come I didn't see Lopunny earlier?'' I asked.

''Lopunny usually stays in the study. I use the attic as a spare room, so I think she stays there sometimes.''

''Doesn't Lopunny get lonely?''

''There are wild Pokémon in my garden, and I don't spray repel.''

''I wanted to ask you something..... it's about those pictures above your fireplace.... the one you were having a battle with... did you know Silver?''

''Silver? He's actually my best friend.''

''Did you win in your battle with him?''

''It was a great. Although we did make a blizzard in spring.'' Skylar smiles.

''Pika?'' Pika asks. ''I guess so. We've been best friends for eight years already.'' Skylar says.

Eight years? That's half of her life already......

We watched TV for a while until the tournament ended and Skylar shut it off. ''Did you see your room yet?'' she asked. I shook my head. ''I didn't even go upstairs yet.'' ''Come on, I'll show you.'' Skylar said and gestured to me to follow her upstairs. Upstairs was a short corridor and another set of stairs leading to the next floor. There was also a long mirror at the end of the corridor.  There were two doors, one of the left side of the corridor and the other on the right. Skylar led me to the left, and opened the door. ''You'll be staying here.''

The room had walls painted light blue, and there was a bed, a desk and a closet. There was also a bathroom. The windows had gray curtains. ''G'night.'' Skylar said and left.  ''Good night, Skylar.'' I said as I saw her enter the other door at the other side of the corridor, which must be her bedroom. Pika bounced on the bed. ''Pikachu!'' he said excitedly. I sighed. ''For the last time, Pika, I don't like like her.

''Pika pi,'' he insisted.

''Was not.''

''Pika pi.''

''Was not.''

''Pikaaaa.''

''Was not!''

''Pika pika!''

Our argument seemed to last forever. ''Pika, for the last time, she's only my friend. We're not even close.'' I said. Pika was teasing me that I like Skylar. Well, I do like her, but I like her only as friend. Besides, like I just said earlier, we're not even close friends! I felt something vibrate. My PokéGear was ringing. I answered it. ''Hello?''

''Red, I need your help..''  A familiar voice said.

''What kind of help? Gold, why is there static in the background?'' I said, glancing at the wall clock which read 8:43 PM. The caller was Gold, my best friend. By the way, he is also Silver's rival.
