Chapter 20 ~ Delusion

[Red’s POV]

“She’s gone? What do you mean she’s gone?” Silver demanded.

“She left.” Gold said, and with a trembling hand, handed him the paper. Since Silver was beside me, I read the note as well.

I’m sorry. I tried to keep it in, but I couldn’t. I can’t stand it any longer.I’m really sorry, but I can’t sleep anymore. I need to get them back. I’m not asking for a death wish, though. Tell Silver to calm down, even if I’m sure he won’t. You know where I am.

“It’s her handwriting… She went to Aqlastic’s aircraft alone?” Silver said in shock.

“That’s completely insane!” Sapphire said.

“Pearl, check the surveillance!” Platina said. “On it!” Pearl said and ran out. Ruby gasped and left the room too.

“You said she went for a walk!” I told Silver.

“I said maybe! You know how she can be so curious.” Silver said, trying not to panic like Gold was.

Ruby came back. “The clothes I sewed for her are gone. And so is half of the jar of camouflage dust.”

“You gave her the glittery dust?” Pearl asked. Wait, didn’t he leave the room to- oh, it’s coming from the speakers. Yes, there are small but loud speakers on the corners of this room.

“She said she was just curious to see how it works.” Ruby sighed.

“We have to go now.” Silver stood up.

“Without a plan?” Yellow asked, standing up as well.

“The clothes are ready, I say we can.” Ruby said.

“We can still make it back for tonight if we go now.” Dia said.

“I’ll check our room, she might have left something.” Silver said.

“I’m coming with you.” I quickly said.

“Skylar just couldn’t have left the note before she left our room, don’t you think so Gold?” Crystal piped up.

We all looked at her. “Huh?”

“The note said she couldn’t sleep anymore. Remember that she pissed her rival unintentionally because she was really sleepy?” Crystal said.

She’s right. “Before I took Skylar back to her room she told me she wasn’t sleepy anymore.” I said.

“Red, you were the last person who was with her, aside from me since I was sleeping.” Silver said.

A large screen lowered down at the end of the table. “Here’s the footage from last night.” Pearl said. “Notice the time.”

2:45 a.m was on the bottom left of the screen, and it showed a video of the hallway where our rooms were. Skylar went downstairs, and then ran to the room near the stairs. That room must be the room were Ruby sewed the clothes. Skylar grabbed the clothes on the desk and a jar of sparkly stuff, then disappeared into the bathroom.

2:48 a.m she came out wearing the silver one-piece whole body suit, then returned the jar to the desk. It was now half-empty. The rest of the video showed footprints going out of the mansion, and out of the estate.And she wasn’t even running.

“2 in the morning. Of course you guys were already asleep. What is this ‘pissed her rival’ scenario?” Pearl asked.

“Gold woke Skylar up, then she pissed Blue without even realizing it. Blue here threw a ra—”
