Tyler's POV

Despite my lack of energy from not eating, I was running fast. It wasn't like my life depended on it or anything, but I guess I was running on adrenaline, something I haven't felt in a while.

I was running until I stopped. Troye was already close to me to begin with considering his long lanky legs. He skidded to a stop. "Why'd you stop?" He asked.

"I don't know where we're going," I giggled. Troye grinned sheepishly and paused for a second.

"I do!" Troye exclaimed abruptly and took off running in the opposite direction so he was in front. I ran aswell, still having hope I could win the race despite not even knowing where to go.

"I win!" Troye called out, touching some tree.

"Hey, not fair! You decided the spot and got a head start." I feigned annoyance.

"Same difference!" Troye replied, trying to justify his actions. I giggled in response, which is something I tend to do a lot with Troye. Rain droplets started to turn into a downpour and before we knew it, we were utterly drenched.

"Troye, where are we even going?" I asked, before I could even register what I was saying, for all I know I could've just set myself up for a goodbye.

"Well, I have to take the train home, you?" He asked me.

"Yeah, same. I take the R train back to Northern Boulevard." I said.

"No way! I take the R to Forest Hills." Troye exclaimed. My eyes widened, and I smiled knowing we would take the same train together.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" I asked, and raced him to the subway station.

HEYY this is a filler chapter and all, but I have ideas for the next chapter so I decided to end this one now despite it being so short. If you've been reading this story for a while, you'd know that this used to take place in Michigan, but I changed it to New York, as I said in my author's note.

Love y'all
