I awaited for Adam at the very familiar coffee shop, in the same exact booth I was in the last time I was here. I remembered the last time I was here as if it was yesterday. I was as nervous to see Adam that day as I am today. It's weird how things hardly change.
I had asked Adam to meet me here. He sounded surprised as well as very confused when he heard that I was in town, or that I had moved back.
Although I didn't tell him I moved back yet, I figured I'd tell him in person. I knew that Katie was right when she said that Adam needed a friend right now, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't need the same.
So here I sat in this booth, waiting, anxiously might I add. I starred down at my plain black coffee, debating rather to add some sugar into it or not when I heard the front door of the coffee shop open and close.
I looked up, more than just happy to see Adam. I guess I hadn't noticed how much I had missed him, and it almost felt like a relieve to see him. I didn't think I'd get to see him for awhile after I left back to Manhattan.
I wave slightly to him, with a smile. He smiled back and came walking towards me.
He proceeded to sit across from me on the booth. He put both of his elbows on the table, and intertwined his fingers together, sitting his chin on them.
"So what are you doing here?" He asks, narrowing his eyes.
I shrug. "I missed home."
"Really? You just missed home?" He asks, arching one of his eyebrows at me as if he knew that that wasn't the only reason I was here. "And I missed you." He smirks.
"Yeah I guessed." He smiles ear to ear.
"So how long are you here for?" He asks. I bite my lip, looking down at my ring finger.
I lift up my hand, showing him it. "I think I'm going to stay for awhile."
"Good, because I don't plan on letting you leave anytime soon."

5 months later~~~~~
I sat my box with my shoes in it on the ground, I stood back, admiring the beautiful house I stood in. I especially loved the balcony that over looked the front entrance.
"God I love this place." I say out loud, smiling.
"I'm glad you do because we're going to be paying this place off our whole life's." Adam mutters, walking in. I smile, turning around. I wrap my arms around his neck, leaning in and kissing him on the lips.
"I love you." I whisper, smiling like an idiot.
"I love you more, so much so that I stupidly bought you a house." I smirk.
"And I'm stupidly marrying you, win win." I point out.
"True true. I guess we're both pretty stupid." He leans in again, kissing me on the lips.
"Okay come on love birds, we still have a whole truck to unpack." Katie says, walking in.
"Okay fine fine." Adam let's go of me and walks out, Katie following him.
I turn around taking another look around me.
This was a new start. A new life, and most of all, everything I ever wanted.
