School for the rest of the week was horrible. Johnny kept bugging the living crap out of me. Today was Friday, so that meant party.

Johnny was standing in line with Jody and I at lunch and for some reason Johnny thought it'd be cute if he put his arm around my shoulders as we stood there. Johnny went to the bathroom since the line wasn't moving much and that's when JoAnna stomped over to where we stood.

"Look, you need to stay away from Johnny. He doesn't like you so stop making him follow you around like a lost puppy."

I literally laughed in her face. Did she really think that I was making him follow me around?

"Ha, that's funny. I have made your brother do nothing. So, please leave me alone now."

"You tell her Tara!" Some guy yelled from behind us. I just smiled.

"Look, your cute little southern charm may work on other guys but it's not going to work on my brother." She sneered.

She seen Johnny walking back and walked away from us. Jody and I just stood there laughing at the whole situation.

"What's so funny?" Johnny asked.

"Your sister just came over here." I laughed. "Said for me to stay away from you. You don't like me and I need to stop making you follow me around."

"What? Oh my God, she does this to every girl I talk to."

"She also said that my cute little southern charm may work on other guys but it's not going to work on you."

That part made Johnny laugh along with Jody and I.

"So, Johnny are you coming to the party tonight?" Jody asked.

"Um, I don't know yet."

"You should come. It's gonna be an amazing party." Jody smiled at me like she had a plan or something. "You could ride with me, Taralyn and Josh."

"Yeah, I'll go. Sounds fun." He smirked over at me.

"Jody I am not doing that." I told her as we got ready that night for the party.

"But you're all about proving someone wrong." She argued.

We were debating on whether or not I should use my 'cute little southern charm' to prove JoAnna wrong. I was stuck on the big NO.

"I'm not."

"Josh is here." Jody told me when she walked back into my room from getting a drink.

"Josh, you can come up here!" I yelled down the  stairs to him.

A few seconds later I heard him coming up the wooden stairs. I smiled at him when he got into sight.

"I hope you don't mind, Jody invited Johnny." I told him as we walked to the room.

"That's fine." He smiled.

"Tara, did you get the tent?" Jody asked.

"Yeah, I put it in my truck earlier. I just have to go get blankets and pillows." I smiled.

We were all going to camp out in the guy's backyard after the party tonight. None of us were planning on being able to drive, so why not camp out? I had a huge tent so all of us could fit in it and have some moving room.

"All right, let's go." I smiled to Josh and Jody.

We were going in my truck so that meant that Josh and Johnny were going to have to ride in the bed of the truck. I knew Josh wasn't all that excited about Johnny coming along with us but I was hoping he'd at least try to have a good time.

"Hey Johnny." Jody smiled to Johnny when we pulled up at his house.

"Hey guys." He smirked before jumping on the back with Josh.

"It's kind of scary how much they look alike, they could pass as twins." Jody told me as we went down the road.

"I know, I almost hugged Johnny the first day I seen him. But I seen the skinny jeans." I laughed.

At the party:

Everyone was having a blast and I was one of those people that was loving every minute of it. The only thing that I wasn't too keen on was Johnny staying right by my side the entire time. He seemed like a cool guy just a bit clingy.

"Having fun?" I asked Josh.

"Yeah. You?"

"Yeah, your cousin seems to be having fun too." I smiled at him.

Johnny wasn't far away from me, he was over talking to his sister about something. His sister looked plain out pissed off.

"Yeah she likes acting like his mom. So, he told me about her coming up to you today."

"She really thought I was making him follow me around." I laughed.

I took a sip of my drink and watched Jody dance with Bobby. She liked the guy but he was too stuck on being a player to notice.

"I'll be back, I'm gonna go get a drink." Josh told me.

I nodded.

"Why are you alone?" Johnny asked from behind me.

I pointed to Josh and then to Jody. That should give him an answer, I hope. I stood there just looking at my drink thinking and when I looked up I wished I hadn't. There was a girl all over Josh and for once he was letting it happen. I suddenly felt sick to my stomach.

"You like him, don't you?" Johnny asked.

"No, uh, why?"

"I can tell. You don't have to worry, I won't tell."

"There's nothing to tell."

"You need a drink, I'll be back." He told me.

As I stood there waiting for him to come back with my much needed drink JoAnna came up to me once again.

"What did I tell you? I thought I told you to leave my brother alone?"

"Look, I don't like drama. Please, just get out of my face. I don't want to start any trouble."

"Bitch, trouble will start if you don't leave my brother alone."

"Okay, cool. See ya around." I smiled.

I walked away from her and went to find Jody.

Oh, I had the best idea ever. JoAnna was just going to love me for it.
