Chapter 5:What is going on?

*the next day*

Victoria pov
I woke up late this morning, so I ended up running around the house, trying to get my shit together. I ended up wearing a pair of shorts, a a white shirt, my green bomber jacket that I bought yesterday & grunge black ankle boots. I had my hair in hurried two french braids. Once my bag was packed, I practically ran to school.

Luckily, I made it to Science just in time before the late bell rang. I rushed over, and sat down next to Nami, who was shaking a finger at me while tsking.

"You're almost late, Victoria! What time did you wake up?"
"Late, obviously." I set my bag down, and got out my books. "Its what happens when I spend too much time talking to Marco & his friends."
"How late did you stay up?" She asked.
"Uuummmm....2:30? I can't really remember, I know that it was really late."
"Oh my god, Victoria!"

We chatted a bit longer, when Sanji sauntered over.

"Good morning Nami-chan, Victoria-chan."
"Mornin' Sanji-kun."
I grin. "Heeeey Sanji!"

I watched as Nami & Sanji talked about a date that they're planning going to go on. Watching Nami look at Sanji..was quite interesting. It was like she has this light in her eyes, despite the fact that she was being a bit mean to him.

'Maybe she does like him like that.'

Sanji then caught my eye, and smiled at me, making me feel squeamish.

"Glad you could make it today, Victoria-chan." Sanji said politely.
I laughed. "Well! I'm not going anywhere for a while! After all, I just got here."
He grinned. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

He then went back to his desk. When he was gone, Nami turned to me, and looked at me straight in the eye.

"Um...what are you doing?" I asked.
Her gaze intensifies. "I'm just trying to figure something out..."
"Like what? If you can see my soul through my eyes?"
"No no..its just..Sanji was acting so differently towards you."
I quirked my eyebrows up at her as she moved away. "Whats that supposed to mean?"

"Well, you know how Sanji acts like how he does with girls?"
"Yeah..."
"He wasn't acting like that around you." Nami said. "And he usually does that when he really likes a girl.."
"Nami, I highly doubt that Sanji thinks of me like that. I literally just met him a day ago. And don't go off about that whole "Love at first sight." shit."
"I know, I know. But this is Sanji who we're talking about." Nami said lazily.
"I don't even know him well enough." I added. "A-and besides, aren't you two..pretty much a thing?"

She shook her head. "We uses to be...but now.." She looked around, then leaned in towards me. "I want him back."
"Well then, why don't you go for him?" I asked as I carried on with my assigned work.

Nami was about to say something, but then we were cut off when our teacher started to lecture us about some shit about Electricity. When the teacher finished talking, we were all given partners for a experiment on voltage 'n shit. In the end, I didn't get to talk to Nami about whats up with her & Sanji.

'Maybe I shouldn't ask. The reason is provably really personal.'

My next class, was English, a class that I have with all my friends (Nami, Luffy, Zoro, Robin, Sanji, Ussop). I decided to sit with Robin for this class. Our English teacher was Mr Dracule, a rather quiet man with on fleek eyebrows, flashy golden eyes & Edward Cullen skin. Apparently a lot of the girls have the hots for Mr Dracule, as he gives off this 'Brooding but gentleman' thing, or whatever. To be honest, I just wanna rename him Captain Feather-sword.

Anyway, Mr Dracule handed us all a piece of paper that told us off the film essay thats coming up. Quickly, I skimmed over the piece of paper, and saw that I could write about either a character, explain the different shots & camera angles or we could write about the meaning behind a certain scene.

"Sir," I started. "what is the film we're going to be filming?" I asked.
"Heathers."

Everyone groaned, while I had a big grin on my face. It was one of my favorite childhood movies that Marco & I used to watch together. Already, I was excited. My favorite character has to be J.D.

Robin chuckled. "You seem excited."
"Its one of my faves." I answered.
"I'm pretty sure I remember watching this movie at one point in my life. If I remember correctly, Winona Ryder plays Veronica Sawyer, right?"
"Yup, thats right." I answered. "Man, I'm already excited!"

We talked mote about the movie, before finally we started watching the movie. We didn't get too far, as the bell rang as soon as we got up to the part where Veronica spots J.D for the first time.

After class, was morning break. I decided to hang out with Robin, as she was heading off to the library to read some books. I felt like leaving Nami to do her own thing, so I stayed with Robin...so that maybe I could get more info about what the hell is going on between Nami & Sanji.

We left our bags outside, then walked in. The library seemed quite modern, and had a upstairs area for seniors to use when we have a study period (which I learnt from Ussop). Robin & I found us some books, and a place to sit. She chose a massive book about a war that happened ages ago, while I had 'Book of lies' in my hands.

After reading for a bit, I decided to ask now.

"Hey...Robin."
She placed her bookmark in her place. "Yes?"
"Is there...something going on between Sanji & Nami?"
Robin hummed. "I'm not supposed yo say, I promised Nami."
I nod. "But...could you at least tell me a little bit? I hate being kept in the dark."
"Well, they did date for a little while. But well..it ended with a fight." Robin explained carefully.
"So now they're friends? No questions asked?"
"That was something that Nami didn't tell me. Sorry, but this is all I can tell you. I don't wanna break her promise."
"Okay."

"Oh, and Victoria?"
"Yeah?"
"I think its best if you don't talk about it to either of them. I don't want it to make it seem like you're snooping around, or you're going to backstab them."
"I know...its just I want to know what exactly is going on. I hate being left in the dark."
"Well...I can see where you're coming from. But, just be careful, okay?"
"Yeah, okay."

And so, the bell rang for next period to begin.
