Chapter 40:Talk

Sanji pov
I awaited for results from Kira-chan & Chikage (Victoria's little brother, something that we all found out). As we waited, I looked over to Victoria's parents.

'Victoria looks more like her Father than her Mother...or is it the other way around? But either way..' I mentally sighed. 'Just introduce yourself to them.'

I got up from my seat & walked over to them. "I'm sorry, but..." they were both watching me. "I never really got to properly introduce myself, but my name is Sanji."
Victoria's Father chuckled. "Its certainly nice to meet you in a better situation, Sanji. I'm Astor, Victoria's Father. And this is my wife, Adéle."
Adéle looked at me up & down, before smiling politely. "Its nice to meet you, Sanji."

I felt compelled to sit in the chair in front of them, so I did. I cleared my slightly itchy throat.

"So...how did you know where we all were?" I asked.
"Your sister, Reiju informed us of what was going on. At first, we were shocked when we found out that she knew our daughter, and then we were outraged about how your brothers were treating you." Astor explains.
"We've been searching for our daughter for so long, and when we found out about where she's been all this time, and who she's been living with, we immediately jumped to the opportunity of seeing Victoria again." Adéle bit her lip. "We started to think that she really did die in the fire....but now that we've found her.."

'Oh god...do they mean that they might take her back?! As happy as I am for her..they might take her away. Although, that depends on if they live elsewhere, and if they will actually take her away.'

"Psst...Sanji, yoi."

I look over, and see Marco gesturing for me to come over to him. I was immediately in front of him. He had a bandage wrapped around his shoulder that he got stabbed in. He jabbed a finger into my chest.

"I swear..if you hurt Victoria like that again, you're a dead man, yoi. Do I make myself clear?"
I swallowed, and nod.
"Good," he pushed me inside Victoria's bedroom. "now talk to her, yoi."
"But Chikage & Kira-"
"Just go!"

I turn, and Kira-chan, Chikage & Victoria staring at me. I had a massive blush of embarrassment on my face. Chikage had a gentle smile, and he stood up.

"Well, I think its time we leave, Kira-san." He said.
"But..-"
Chikage had already packed everything away. "We need to leave these two alone after all."

They left the room, leaving only Victoria & I. She was (yet again) wrapped up in white bandages, and even had some stitches across her temple. A ice pack laid on her stomach, to heal up the bruises. Her bad wrist was wrapped up in a sling. All these injuries started to infuriate me.

"Sanji.." she called. "Please, don't be mad. Just..sit with me."
"Sorry..." I sighed as I carefully sat myself on her bed. "Its just...I wish I should've saved you from them, a-and tell you why I broke up with you..the real reason."
Victoria smiled weakly. "I understand now..you were trying to protect me from people that would've probably easily killed me with no hesitation. Really, I should be the one who's sorry-"

"Don't finish that sentence." I said quickly. "You didn't know what was going on, so you have no absolute reason to be sorry. I couldn't have told you what was going on, as they would've killed you in front of me. As much as I wanted to not break your heart, there was no other choice...I wanted to see you live without me, rather than die."

She was smiling with tears of joy. She sniffed, and wiped her tears with her healthy hand.

"I so wish I could just hug you, but everything hurts at the moment..." she mumbles.
"I'll take care of that."

I stood up, and hovered over her. I leaned in, and gently kissed her forehead. When I pulled away, I tilted her head towards me, and then fully kissed her on the lips. I could feel my own tears of joy slip out as we kissed some more. When I pulled away this time, she had gingerly wiped away my tears for me.

"I missed you so much..." she choked out.
I smiled weakly. "Yeah.." I said. "I missed you too."

I stayed in there longer, and Victoria made me lie with her. She said that her wrist is broken, and that its going to be in a cast for a while. Luckily, she told me that she's becoming more ambidextrous nowadays.

"So...your parents.." I start.
She sighed happily. "I have parents..and a transgender brother."

'Her brother is trans?'

I nod. "What did they say? Did they say anything about whats going to happen with you?"
She sighed again. "They offered to let me live with them, but I'm happy here. I don't wanna leave Marco behind. As much of a asshole he is, Marco has been in my life longer than my parents. Though I said that I'll try & stay with them on weekends or something." She smiled. "This feels so weird...saying 'my Mum' or 'my Dad'. Really, I've only ever had to say 'my Brother.' "
I kissed her cheek. "I hope that you'll enjoy having your family around."
