Chapter 30:A black afternoon

Robin pov
I looked at the time, and saw that it lunch was about to end soon. I excused myself from the table, and decided to use the bathroom before the bell rings for last period.

'I would have History next. I hope we get to watch more of that documentary. I want to get started on the assignment already.'

"Hang on, Robin." Nami called out. "Wait for me."
I nod as she fell in line with my pacing. "So what class do you have next?" I asked.
"Accounting." She replied casually. "And I guess you have history."
"Right. Hey, I have an idea. I think that maybe you, Victoria & I should have a girls weekend this weekend."
Nami nods. "That sounds great! We should see if Victoria is free of course." She then giggled. "She might have a date with Sanji, or something."
I smile. "Well..hopefully not. We haven't seen her for a while, so we should all do something together."

We walked into the bathroom, on the floor, we saw blood. We looked at each other, and grimace.

"Someone didn't clean up their period mess." Nami grunts.
"That person must've been in a hurry."

But as I got a closer look at the situation, I saw that the blood stains looked like it wasn't from a girl having her period. It was like something else had happened in here.

"Nami..." I started slowly. "I don't think this is a period incident.."
"What makes you say that?"
"Look around." I then pointed at a cubicle. "There's a blood trail that leads in there, and the cubicle is closed..and besides, this is far too much blood to be period blood."
Nami looked at me, then the cubicle, then the blood trail, then back at me. "Open the door.."

Gingerly, I reached out, and grabbed at the door handle. I slowly open the door, and turn on the light in the bathroom. We both screamed when we saw Victoria lying there, and that the blood belonged to Victoria.

"V-V-VICTORIA!"

Sanji pov
We were all laughing at Ussop & Luffy, as they did impressions of each other, and different people.

"Okay, okay..do Marimo again." I laughed.
Luffy slicked his hair back, and put on that shitty frown that Zoro always has. "Huh? Its morning already?"

We all bursted out laughing. Ussop was slamming his hand on the table over & over with vigour. I wiped away my tears of laughter.

"Oh that was classic." I panted.

Like a knife to a dead body, two loud feminine screams lacerated through the air. It came from the girls bathroom.

"V-V-VICTORIA!"

'That was Nami & Robin! Shit, Victoria!'

We (along with some teachers) were already up & running towards the girls bathroom. Panic rose in my body as I lead everyone towards the bathroom.

'Oh god, oh god, Victoria! Whats happened?! Is she hurt?! Is she in trouble?!'

We all bursted inside the girls bathroom, and saw that Nami & Robin were kneeling on the ground...along with Victoria. I stood there, almost paralyzed when I saw Victoria with blood on her arms, face & blood stains on her t-shirt. Her eyes were open, and wide.

'N-no...what happened to her? Oh god, Victoria..'

Third pov
Teachers moved past Sanji, who was kneeling on the ground with wide eyes. He couldn't believe it. He just couldn't. Victoria was only gone for a couple minutes..

'I never heard her. I didn't even hear screams, or cries, o-or anything! How could I let this happen? I should've been there for her..and yet-'

"Oh thank god, she is alive!" Mr Hililuk cried.
"We need to get her to the hospital right away!" Mr Jinbei declared.
"Someone go get Shanks, and tell him whats happened! Ring the girls parents or caregivers!" Ms Boa commanded.

"Take us with you!" Nami pleads. "We need to know if she's alright or not."
"We can't let you go. You need to stay here!" Mr Jinbei commands.

"But..." Sanji slammed his hands on the ground. "SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND! I NEED TO KNOW IF SHE'S WELL OR NOT!"

"I know she is, Sanji.."

They all turned, as Mr Le Roux entered the room. Shanks had his fists balled, and had a hard, set, serious stare. His stare softens at Sanji & the two girls.

"B-but sir! We need to make sure whether or not Victoria isn't hurt critically. Please...let me stay with her! I need to stay with her!"

"Shanks..." Me Hililuk started. "They need to stay behind."
Shanks sighed inwardly, and closed his eyes to think about everything first. When he opened his eyes, he was staring at Sanji. "Fine. Vinsmoke, you can go." He then cut Nami & Robin off. "ONLY Sanji...Vinsmoke Sanji, you better swear to me that you had better behave at the hospital. We'll discuss some more later."

Mr Le Roux then turned his attention back to the situation in front of him. "When did the hospital say that the ambulance will be here?"
"In 10 minutes." Ms Boa said straight away.
Mr Le Roux nods. "Nami & Robin...I'm going to need you to leave. It'll be helpful if you don't tell anyone what's happened, and that you could think who would do this sort of thing."

Everything went by as a blur for Sanji. From the ambulance arriving, to Victoria being carried out on a stretcher, to him sitting & waiting in the hospital waiting area. Anxiously, he waited for answers to his questions. What happened in the bathroom? Was Victoria alone? If she wasn't, then who was with her, and were they the one held responsible? What are her injuries? Is she in a serious condition?

Later, Marco had arrived. When Marco spotted Sanji, he strode straight over.

"Where is she, yoi?!" Marco demanded.
Sanji points towards the A & E door. "In there..I-I just saw Kira-chan go in.."
Marco swore to himself, his hand ruffly going through his hair. "Sanji...do you know whats happened, yoi?"
Sanji shook his head. "O-one moment she was in the bathroom..t-then I heard Nami-chan & Robin-chan scream a-and then she was on the ground. This was at lunch."

Marco was gripping his hair firmly, and looked like he was in turmoil. Although no one else could see it, Sanji could tell that Marco was at war with himself. Sanji knew how it felt, and immediately related to the brother figure.

Marco got out his phone, and rang Kira. It rang for a few moments, before Marco finally got a answer.

"Kira! How is she?!....oh thank god! When can we see her, yoi?.......soon?! Kira I need numbers, yoi!...Sorry, i-its just..I'm so scared & worried about her, yoi. ........Yeah, Sanji is here, only Sanji. ...Okay...tell me asap. Bye."

Marco turned his attention back to Sanji. "She's okay."
Sanji let out a breath that he'd been holding, along with some small tears. "Oh thank god..what did Kira-chan say?"
"She said that Victoria went into shock, and from what she can tell, she was held down, and got hurt through someone else attacking her, yoi."

"How could she tell that someone was holding her down?" Sanji asked quietly.
"There's bruises on her wrists & ankles, dark bruises, yoi." Marco answers. "Whoever did this...I'm gonna find them, and I'll tear them apart myself, yoi!"
