Chapter 34:Devious descision

Sanji pov
It was the end of the school day, and my body was still in pain.

'Damn it, whatever that old man has been teaching them..they've gotten stronger.'

I didn't want to worry Victoria even more it I told her that my whole body was attacked, not just my face. After our discussion during morning break, I suddenly really wanted to just keep Victoria safe from my so called siblings. I knew for a fact that if they found out about Victoria, Judge would go out, and kill her himself, just so that she 'won't interfere me'.

'I need to keep her safe from my family somehow.'

The school bell rang, signifying the end of the school day. I looked over to my junior class that I'm helping to teach.

"Alright, I'll see all of you on Wednesday. Have a good day."
"Thanks Mr Vinsmoke!"

The juniors started to file out of the classroom kitchen, and out to leave the school grounds. I looked over, and saw Victoria's smiling face at the window. She walked on in.

"Want me to help with cleaning up?"
I smile back at her softly. "Yeah, I'd love that."

She set her school bag down, and started to help me out with cleaning the classroom kitchen up. I put away all the ingredients that were left out, and cleaned up the mini kitchens, while Victoria cleaned the white board, and did the dishes. Once we shut up shop, we left the school.

"Sanji," she starts. "what are you going to do about your siblings?" She asked lowly.
I sighed. "Thats the thing, I can't do anything about them."
"Can't you talk to your Father about it?"
I flinch a little bit. "He won't listen because he doesn't want anything to do with me in particular. I could probably try, but he won't do anything about it."
Her small fists clenched around her school bag straps. "I really want to do something about it. I feel useless because of the fact that I can't protect you."
I kissed her temple, and wrapped my arm around her shoulders. "Its okay, Victoria. I can handle it anyways."
She sighed, and stared up at the sky.

I hung up my phone, and carried on driving down the street back home.

"Damn it.." I grumble. "I don't wanna stay in this damn town for another day with that brother. I may as well live with Father, instead if amoung these commoners."

I turned down a street, swearing at some dumb commoner couple that were crossing the road in front of me. I watched as they crossed..then noticed that one of them looked familiar.

'I know that blond hair cut anywhere..thats Sanji. What the hell is he thinking?! Hanging around that commoner girl?!'

I almost gagged when I saw her kiss her temple as she stared up at the sky. I got a good look of her, and I will admit, she is kinda cute.

Quickly, I took a photo of the two, and then raced off back home to get it printed.

'Wait until Father heard about this!'

Sanji pov
After dropping Victoria off at her home, I got back home, and immediately went upstairs to avoid talking to any of my siblings.

"Sanji! Is that you?!"

I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard Niji's voice.

'Fuck! What does he want now?!'

I suppressed a growl as I looked at my older brother. He had a wicked look in his eyes, a look that I knew well. That look is the one he makes when he's found out about something interesting. It sent chills down my body, and my nerves suddenly kicked in.

"You should tell me about that commoner girl that you were walking with."
"I have no idea what you're talking about." I lied.
He fished around in his pocket, then shoved a picture into my hands. "You might wanna consider that answer you told me just now."

I made a short, quiet gasp when I saw that the picture was of me kissing Victoria's temple, and that the photo was taken today when I was walking her home. I couldn't form any words, as everything around me started to mentally collapse.

'Oh god no, oh god no! How did he..when did he?!'

"Why are you hanging around commoner trash?" He hisses.
I glared at him. "You better watch what you say."
"And you better eat those words, you pathetic earth worm."
"You stay away from her!" I yelled. "She's done nothing!"
"You know that Father will not be pleased when he fins out that you have been talking to this little ant." Niji said with a sigh at the end.
"No! Don't tell him about her!" I begged.

Niji smiled evilly as he stared at my pathetic form.

"You know..its actually satisfying to see you beg. Maybe if you beg some more, I'll consider something else..but on one condition."
"Please!" I begged. "I don't want her to get hurt."

He leaned in close to my ear, his alcoholic breath almost making me wrench.

"We won't kill her...if you break up with her. Of course, you can't tell her why, we don't want her pepping around, now do we?"

My fists were clenched, and I had to fight back the urge to just kick his guys out, and cry & scream.

'I don't want to do it. I don't want to leave Victoria. But then, they'll kill her! Damn it! I don't want to hurt her!'

"There's gotta be another option." I said weakly.
"There isn't." He smirked snidely. "Now make your decision Sanji. Will you dump her, or will we have to kill her in front of you?"

A cry was threatening to escape my throat. I didn't want to let go of her. I wanted to stay with her. But I knew that even if I try to protect her, they'll kill her somehow. Both my mind & heart was telling me no.

But...if I want Victoria alive, then there's no other way.

"I....I'll do it."
Niji grinned. "You have 24 hours. Otherwise she's dead."

Niji left me, and I hounded upstairs to my room. I threw myself inside my room, locking my door, and kicked the wall.

"SHIT!"I yelled.

I fell onto my bed, and felt the tears fall down. My fists were clenched. I so badly just wanted to hit something.

'God damn it! This can't be happening!'

I let out a couple cries when I looked over to the picture of Victoria & I. I held it close to me, and cried even harder.

"Victoria...! Oh god..Victoria! I'm so sorry! I know you'll never know about what's going to happen..but please forgive me!'

"V-V-Victoria! Chevallier Victoria!" I cried out.

Reiju pov
I leaned my ear against Sanji's door, and I could hear him crying. I bit my lip.

'Oh god..Sanji.'

"V-V-Victoria! Chevallier Victoria!"

My eyes went wide upon hearing the name, particularly the last name.

'That girl that Niji & Sanji were talking about...she's a Chevallier!'

I need to find this girl.
