The next day it's Kana and Jayce's birthday so me and Jared go shopping. "You go get the girly stuff and I'll get the men stuff and we can say both are from us." Jared says I nod and laugh and go find some stuff. I get a bunch of makeup and I see a woman with a males face and think of Kana. After shopping I drop Kared off at the house and run up to the hospital to meet with Kana's Doctor. We meet and talk about when Kana can start hormones. He says in a few days she can start them if she's ready. He writes a note for it and hands it to me. I go get cards and put the note into Kana's card.
I get back to the house and see all the family there. Dad, Hazel, Shane, Johnnie, Andy, Dean, Sam, Vic, Tomorrow, and Shannon. "They grew up fast huh?" I hear behind me. I turn around and see Shannon and nod. We hug and talk about Kana's transformation so far, and the hormones.
We eat and then get ready to open presents. "Who wants to open the first present?" Jared asks. Jayce yells, "MEEEEE! PICK ME DAD!"
Jayce opens his first present,which is an Xbox 1, then he gets clothes and more stuff. Kana then opens her stuff and gets clothes and makeup and then she gets to my card. "Read it out loud." Jared says. She reads the text then reads what I wrote. " I hope your transformation this week is fun.." She says confused. "There's a note." She says and opens the note. Her face lightens up as she smiles and starts crying and hugs me. "Thank you mum! Thank you thank you!!" She yells.
:A few days later:
Kana has been on hormones for two days. She's been really happy about it everyday but she comes home all sad and almost in tears. All the boys at school are teasing her and the girls think she's disgusting. I call Hazel and tell her about it.
The next day all the kids are hanging out.
:Jayce's POV:
We get to hang out with our uncles, Nick, Jeydon and Alex. Me and Kana are sitting with the hem in a circle and Kana keeps bragging to Alex about her getting on hormones earlier than him. "Kana stop...You're not that special." I say. She looks at me and stands up then walks away.
