I lazily open the flat door, walking in the flat like a zombie and basically dead inside. I just want to lay in my cosy bed and fall asleep. I've just come home from the hotel and honestly, I don't remember the last time I was this glad to be home again. I place my keys on the cupboard in the small hallway and take off my Converse. The moment I take them off, Harry comes to my mind, again, after I hoped I could avoid thinking about him again anytime soon.
He left the hotel an hour or two before I left and didn't even look at me while leaving. I mean, I didn't hope he would, but you know, it would be very nice of him if he did. But, let's be honest here, he's never nice. The nicest thing he's done was not taking my virginity when I was half drunk. That was very nice and unexpected of him and I am grateful for that no matter how hard it is for me to admit it.
"Jo!" I yell as I walk into the kitchen and grab a glass from the counter, pouring water into it afterwards. Jo texted me when she got home, and that was at five what has surprised me quite a lot. She'd usually come home after staying like that at someone's place the moment she'd wake up. But, then again, it shouldn't surprise me because it was Ian's house.
"On the couch!" she yells back and I lead myself toward the living room as I drink the water.
Jo lies on her back on the couch, writing something on her phone as I sit on her legs, making her glare at me with her greenish eyes, but she smiles widely at me afterwards, "I'm so thankful to you for leaving yesterday. You are a true friend, A." she says honestly and happily, causing me to only rise my eyebrows at her in confusion as I chuckle at her.
"What happened? Tell me everything," I tell her and she turns off her phone and claps with her hands before she sits up and grabs my hand.
"So, I fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up, there was a blanket on me and Liam and his friend were cleaning around me which woke me up. When I wanted to leave, feeling so embarrassed, they asked me to stay with them for breakfast and I couldn't say no to Liam. So we talked about some stuff and then his friend and Zayn, I don't know what was he doing there, but whatever, they left. And Liam and I talked about UNI and other things," she explains, talking really fast it's almost hard for me to understand anything she says, "and he's so much different than he acts like at UNI. Which means I was right about him," she finishes with a smile on her face.
"Well, there you go. I'm giving him a couple of weeks to go crazy about you. You seducer," I tell her and she laughs as she playfully punches my shoulder, making me chuckle. I lean my back against the couch and Jo sighs next to me.
"You know, now that I got so close to him and saw his sweet side, or the one he's so desperately trying to hide from the people at UNI, I think we might get closer. Not in a lovers way, but like in friends way," she explains and I nod as I take her hand in mine, tightening my grip on it while I give her a warm smile.
