In the previous chapter: Harry and Ella almost finished the deal by sleeping together, but Harry stopped it saying that they shouldn't break another rule.

There's a long silence after he lets out that sentence. Both of us don't even move, probably not sure what to say or do since we were drowning in our lust seconds ago and now, we're just sitting in this uncomfortable silence. I thought he's going to say a stupid remark or a joke that's only meant to humiliate me or just simply walk out the door, but he just stays here, sitting next to me and staring at the wall in front of him, not even once glancing at me. I know that for a fact since I've been observing him for a while, trying to realise why is he doing all this. Maybe he realised my feelings for him go a bit deeper than just business partners and wanted to torture me. That's the only logical and possible solution I can think of.

"Okay," I say, cutting the silence between us and causing Harry to look at me with his green eyes, locking with mine the moment he turned his head to look at me. For a few moments we stay still, just looking into each other eyes until Harry sighs and runs his hand through his hair, "Maybe you should wash this paint off," I tell him and he nods, before he walks out of the bedroom and closes the door behind him.

I stare at the door for a minute, thinking he'll come back, confused with his behaviour. Not once was he quiet with me or shy. I am the one who's all that. What's going through his head? That's the only question that I can think off and it's all I'm thinking about right now. I'm also debating with myself if I should go after him and ask him what the hell has just happened or just stay in this bedroom. I decide to go with the second idea, mostly just because I'm speechless and confused by this situation.

I lie down on the bed, trying to get comfortable and to get my mind off of certain things. I almost scream in terror when the bedroom door open, revealing Harry's body standing at the entrance, staring down at my body that's spread across the bed. He looks like the most beautiful human being, standing there with moonlight falling on his face and light from the hallway making him look even bigger and stronger than he is.

"Good, you're here," he comments as he fully enters the room and closes the door behind him. I don't say a word, but just stare at him approaching me and making my breathing get harder and quicker. He sits on the bed, leaning his back against the wall and I do the same, placing myself next to him.

"You're quiet. Please talk," I spit out, not even thinking about my words and receiving a strange look from Harry who chuckles at me and melts my heart as he does so, "I'm not used to you being so quiet and it's terrifying. I'd rather have you insult me again than have you sit in silence," I say, regretting everything I've just said when I see his smug expression and a smirk that appears on his face. It surprises me when I realise how glad I am to see the same smirk I hate and that cocky glare of his. That realisation hits me like a lighting bolt, so unexpectedly and I don't know how it should make me feel honestly.

"You should've enjoyed that, White. I've got plenty insults to throw at you today," he replies and I roll my eyes, but still smile at him. He doesn't smile back, but I didn't even expect him to. I trace over his face, noticing a few trails of paint on his jaw and on his forehead and I'm trying really hard not to clean it off, "You surprised me," he comments and I raise my eyebrows.

"With what?" I ask as I run my hand through my hair. I know the answer to my question; my sudden decision to have sex right now wasn't something he's expected. Thinking about it, it wasn't even something I'd thought I would do.
