The loud beeping sound of my alarm wakes me from my wonderful sleep, and I find myself in immediate longing for more sleep time. I barely open my eyes, finding that action particularly hard, before I realise Harry is nowhere to be seen in the room. A brief memory of last night appears in my mind, causing my heart to skip a bit once again at the charming moment we've shared. I sit up and rub my eyes, hoping that action might wake me up a little.
"You snore horribly," Harry's voice is suddenly heard a few seconds before he walks out of the bathroom and I roll my eyes while grinning at him widely.
"Shut up," I reply, but can't avoid the situation in which I am once again smiling ridiculously at him. I stop in my tracks as I remember it's his birthday today and I run towards him, shockingly not tripping over my own feet, and throw myself at him as I wrap my arms around him, "Happy birthday!" I happily exclaim and he chuckles into my ear after rather poorly hugging me back.
"Fuck, I should've known you were a birthday person," he snickers and I gasp as I pull away, but decide to not react, walking away instead.
"Thank God I am, otherwise you'd be spending your birthday with your father," I joke and he rolls his eyes at me, but a smirk appears on his lips, signalling me he is content, "Now, go get ready, we need to leave before 8," I tell him while grabbing a pair of jeans and a yellow sweater before heading towards the bathroom.
"We'll be taking Stef's car!" Harry shouts as I rapidly wash my face and do everything I need to do. I was an idiot and forgot to take my make-up off yesterday and the wonderful result of that action are zits currently living on my face. It takes me longer than I wanted to cover up every consequence from yesterday and once I am satisfied with my look, I walk out of the bathroom, finding Harry waiting for me while sitting in the armchair next to the fireplace in his black coat.
"You look like that fucking mouse Arthur," he chuckles while pointing at my outfit - blue jeans and a yellow sweater. I see it too now once he's pointed that out and I laugh at myself. He stands up while I search for my black, long down jacket and Harry takes the keys from the table - he probably met with his brother earlier today.
"Are you excited?" I ask him while we're walking out of the hotel, a large smile pressed on my lips as he smirks at me in return. He doesn't reply immediately, but when he unlocks the car.
"Not really, but you're obviously excited enough for the both of us," he indicates before he sits in the car and I roll my eyes at him while following his actions.
He is right; I couldn't be more excited than I am right now. I've been planning on going to Ireland for so many years, but I've never got enough time or was never brave enough to actually do it. But, I'm glad I get to see it for the first time with Harry - I feel like, and I want to believe, yesterday was a turning point for us, creating a great begging of our friendship. AND since today is his birthday as well, I've only got more reasons to make sure both Harry and I have a good time.
"Where to?" Harry asks once he starts the car engine. He turns his head and looks at me scanning my face with his green eyes, only making me blush.
"Dublin - I want to go there and it's only an hour and a half drive. That's, of course, if it's alright with you," I reply and he nods before he sets the navigation and GPS - after doing all that, we start our little adventure.
Despite the long drive, the time has passed quickly, filled with up-beat music coming from the radio and a few comments about the scenery around us. I haven't seen much of this amazing country, but I'm already in love with it; throughout the whole drive I've been looking outside, trying to capture every piece of nature I could see. Harry was focused on the drive mostly, constantly checking the GPS, so I was spared of the rude remarks about my excitement - but I would be lying if I said I hadn't missed them.
