CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR - NO WAY OUT
A little over a week…
Hanging from the wall, I no longer cried or tried to stop their assaults. I just prayed for death to come and get me.
Five men were now feeding off me. The woman bored to death to know I had given up.
“We need to make things interesting.” she said, walking up to me with a pair of keys.
When the men, felt her presence, they instantly abandoned me. Scattering around the room like frightened little puppy’s.
Without a word, she unlocked my chains.
With no one there to catch me, my body crashed into the ground. Pain spreading all thru me.
“Rest. Tomorrow we’ll play a little game.” she ordered, turning to leave. The men following her out.
Taking her advice. I curled into a ball and fell asleep. My muscles burning since they had been stretched for so long…
“Wake up.”
Opening my eyes, I unwillingly flinch to see my captor awakening me.
“Good girl” she praised, having two men pull me to my feet. “We are gonna play a little game. I wanna see how fast you can run.” she added as they dragged me out of the room.
Biting my upper lip, I let them.
They didn’t stop until we reached outside. Night had fallen. Everything was dark. Cold.
“Run.” she ordered as the men dropped me.
“I can’t.”
“Run!” she yelled, kicking me.
Taking a deep breath, I struggled to stand. I wasn’t stupid. I knew she wasn’t going to let me escape. “No.”
“Little girl. You will do what I say.”
“No!”
For a moment, the woman became silent. Staring at me in disbelief. “No wonder Erick didn’t turn you. You don’t have it in you to be one of us.”
“Now I know why he left you.”
“Why is that?” she asked curious.
“You’re a fat, cold hearted bitch.” I said, only to have her sink her nails into my flesh. My already torn flesh.
Then with a force that surprised me, she threw me a few feet into the air. My head making contact with a tree, instantly knocking me out.
Erick’s POV
As planned, from the moment we knew where Melanie was being held, we waited just outside the building. My so soul burning in anger to know that Melanie was near and yet far from me.
“Where are you?” Armand asked concerned, facing me.
“Here.” I answered wholeheartedly.
“Good.”
Turning around, I faced the 5 new turns I had brought with me. This was suppose to be an easy job. In and out. No one would know we were here.
Suddenly the front door opened.
Instinctively, we all dropped to the ground, observing our surroundings.
In a loss of words, I watched Melanie being dragged out the building. Then dropped into the ground.
Even tho I had excellent night vision, I couldn’t quite discern who these people were. Anger eating at me as I tried to get up. Armand hand quickly stopping me.
Knowing I couldn’t risk the safety of the others, I reluctantly watch. But the moment I saw the woman take Melanie and throw her against a tree, I completely lost it.
Jumping from my spot and reaching the woman in a matter of seconds, I grabbed her by the neck and had her hanging from my hand. Her eyes opening in surprise to see me.
“Annabelle?” I asked unable to believe my eyes. “This can’t be. I saw you die.”
“Liar!” she hissed, pulling at my hands.
“Annabelle, you were dead. I searched for your pulse. You didn’t have any.”
“I didn’t have any because I was turning you piece of shit. Your friend Zack turned me.”
“Zack?”
“Yes. Zachariah.”
“It can’t be.”
“Don’t believe me.” she said trying to kick me.
“Erick!” turning around at the sound of my name, I found a man heading towards me. A sword on his hands.
Letting go of Annabelle I sidestepped, hitting the man on the throat as he passed. Taking the sword out of his hands simultaneously.
Turning back to Annabelle I saw her run to Melanie’s body, the exact moment an alarm went of.
Out of the building came a few man, all ready to attack me. Thankfully, the others had come out of hiding. Leaving them to it, I went after Annabelle. Who was trying to escape, dragging Melanie’s body.
Running to her, I grabbed her by the hair and smashed her against a wall. Her grip on Melanie lessening, as I continued to hit her against the wall.
When she finally did let go off Melanie, I kicked her on the knees, to make her kneel down before me.
“You can’t kill me!” Annabelle yelled.
“I’ll handle this.” Janine said, coming out of nowhere and sticking a needle on her throat…
