Felicity cleared her throat, Barry and Caitlin hadn't realised they'd been stood in the cortex, staring at each other for more than fifteen minutes, Cisco and Felicity just watching, sending each other happy glances. But as much as Felicity wanted to leave them in their trance, she had to, they had Barry's party to plan. She'd told Cisco about it whilst Caitlin and Barry were talking in her lab, he was in but it'll raise suspicion if Cisco left so he agreed to meet them later. Hearing Felicity clear her throat the pair startled, Caitlin dropped her hand from Barry and blushed scarlet, Barry seemed sad about her letting his hand go but shook it off and looked at their friends. Cisco and Felicity both had their eyebrows raised but Felicity didn't have time, she nodded to Caitlin.
"It's ten past four, we've got to go" Felicity informed her, making Caitlin gasp slightly, she was sure it was only two thirty ten minutes ago. Without a second thought she rushed into her lab pulling off her lab coat, quickly running to grab her purse and coat and then snatching Felicity's hand.
"We're late, their expecting us at five past four!" Caitlin exclaimed, leaving without a goodbye, knowing their was no time, they were late enough already. They were sat talking to the food planner (who excused them for being late) she'd suggested doing sea food but Caitlin cringed, shaking her head.
"Barry would hate it, a party should have small snacks, lot's of treats" Caitlin told the lady, she nodding understanding what Caitlin wanted and slid a slip in front of them. It was perfect, most of the food Barry loved, as well as the full range of desserts. "This one, thank you"
"Ok, well, it should be ready and delivered by tuesday"
"Good, thats when we'll need it, thank you for the help" Caitlin said politely, getting up from her seat, before pulling out the amount of cash the lady wanted. Felicity squealed in excitement as they left.
"One thing down, about three more things to go, invitations, decorations and music"
"Actually Theas got the music sorted, she knows a DJ from her club and she said he'll be happy to do the music" Caitlin explained, as they walked through the town mall. Searching for the decorations store.
"I bet your stress is just washing away, now dont forget Cisco is meeting us at Big Belly Burger in half an hour, so we quickly get the decorations and get out of there" Felicity instructed, Caitlin wasn't usually one to allow someone to boss her around but she nodded, knowing they had to be quick. They finally found the store, entering it was like a kid entering a sweet shop...so many choices but they could only make a few, they had a budget. Felicity was gawking at the beautiful wedding decorations, Caitlin thought she saw a hint of sadness flash across her face, Felicity had called off Oliver and her wedding. Caitlin had no idea if she regretted it but she'd shoo off the conversation if someone brought it up. Caitlin reached over and held her friends shoulder.
"Come on, let's look over here"
Felicity nodded lightly, heading to the party decorations at the other side of the room. They had no idea what to get, it had to be basic but fun. "Glow in the dark"
"What?" Felicity asked, not hearing her friend.
"That should be the theme...glow in the dark" Caitlin beamed, Felicity finally caught on and a smile approached her face, Caitlin understanding that she approved of the idea. They grabbed all the glow in the dark stuff they saw and headed to the counter. Glow in the dark body paint, glow in the dark lipstick, glow in the dark hair colouring, glow in the dark ceiling decorations, glow in the dark bowls and plate, great for the food they ordered. They were all set. They left the store holding more bags then they intended to leave with, all heavy too. Felicity dropped her bags on Cisco as soon as she saw him, forcing him to carry them for her.
"Glow in the dark?! We're going to have a glow in the dark party? Oh this is going to be awesome!" Cisco exclaimed excitedly as he rummaged through the bags picking things out from it and gasping. "Barry is going to flip"
"Flip? He's not going to like it?" Caitlin frowned, that worry crease appearing again. All she wanted was to make this party good, for Barry.
"No, I meant he's going to flip happily...you know we should just tip this paint over people" Cisco smirked mischievously, Caitlin had a scowl on her face and swatted his hand away from the bag.
"We are not tipping paint everywhere Cisco, it's not to just throw around, it's quite expensive stuff" Caitlin complained making Cisco roll his eyes, grabbing the Big Belly Burger menu and ordering his meal.
"Your no fun, Caitlin Snow" He grumbled.
"I'll have you know, this glow in the dark theme was my idea" Caitlin argued angrily, Cisco might be like a brother to her but he could be as cruel as a brother at times.
