"I thought you said this wasn't a rave!" Caitlin giggled, having to yell over the noise of older and younger people dancing, grinding on each other, some falling from the amount of alcohol they had consumed. Caitlin had had one to many and Cisco was already off his head, Iris was the only stable one. She had been keeping guard at the door seem as Caitlin and Cisco couldn't. "This is like, the rave of the raves!"
"Hey! I didn't mean for it to be a rave, I just needed something to grab Ians attention!" He called back as though he was ten miles away, she heard him loud and clear, suddenly she was throw forward as someone knocked into her and she almost spilt her drink over Barry. A flash of anger crossed her as she swung around to face the teen who looked her up and down.
"Hey you little brat! Watch where your tredding those horse feet!" Caitlin snarled, the girls face was smacked with shock and she was prepared to fire back before Barry held to Caitlins upperarms and span her to face him, he took the drink from her hand, downing the last of it as she pouted at him.
"Lets dance" He said into her ear instead of shouting, Caitlin grinned, she couldn't dance but when she was drunk she felt like the best dancer in the world. Barry felt horrible for leaving Iris to guard the door but, he had to keep an eye on Caitlin before she started a fight. He couldn't stop laughing as he watched her flail around in the small space they had to dance, cleary having the time of her life as Barry watched. She caught his hand, surprising him, pulling him closer to1 her so their foreheads touched. Caitlin was out of breathe from all the dancing and Barry had held his breathe at their closeness, hearing his heartbeat speed faster than he's probably ever run.
"Aren't you going to dance?" Caitlin spoke, lifting her head from his to meet his eyes. "Mr Allen, you have watched me embaress myself now its your turn, come on"
She tugged his hand and started dancing around him, waiting patiently until he joined along with her, they danced totally off beat but they didn't mind. People bumped into each other time and time again, not apologizing but laughing it off, and continuing dancing. Caitlin hopped backwards and strolled forward, moving her arms but screamed as she tripped on a dancers foot, and began to fly forwards. Barry caught her instantly, her head baffled but looked up with a beaming smile as Barry straightened her and smiled fondly. She rested her head against his shoulder, soothing the headache that was approaching.
"Your a good friend, Barry" She mumbled loud enough for him to hear, but lowered her voice in the next words, making it hard for him to hear. "I wish you were more" Her voice cracked a little at the words.
"As are you Dr Snow, now, I think its time we find Cisco and then see Iris at the door, see if she's seen Ian" Barry instructed, curling his arm around her waist and keeping her close to him as he tugged through the crowds. She rested her hand on his chest as he nudged their way through in search for their friend, she could faintly hear him yelling for Cisco over the noise. "I'll just leave you with Iris and I'll go find him"
"Ok" Caitlin replied, she knew if Cisco was just as a mess as she was, Barry couldn't look after her whilst taking care of Cisco too. He left Caitlin as she stood, trying to keep her balance next to Iris. "Did he come through?"
"No, just a bunch of drunken teens" Iris said back, knowing Caitlin probably wouldn't remember a thing tomorrow. "I've never seen you drunk before"
"I was drunk a lot when Ronnie died" Caitlin replied, cringing at the sweaty bodies, thinking thats what she must've looked like. "Didn't Barry tell you about when we did karaoke and I was drunk?"
"Barry doesn't really share things when it comes to you, he keeps them to himself, like a secret" Iris sighed in reply, fed up of waiting for someone who probably wasn't going to walk through that door.
