Caitlin carried on with her work she'd been planning to do tomorrow, seeing as she had company that she had no interest in interacting with she simply did what she did best in her opinion and got on with her research and files. Snart had been wandering through S.T.A.R. Labs for around ten minutes, ignoring Caitlin's words of telling him to stop snooping and sit down, Barry was taking longer than usual but she gathered it was because he knew Snart was no longer a threat. But just as the thought crossed her mind a burst of wind filled the room, making the previously warm air, cold. Caitlin glanced up from her computer, Barry had slid skillfully as always into the centre of the cortex, facing her with a grin walking over to the montiors she was sat at and leaning over waiting for her to give him a quick kiss. Caitlin smiled, lifting herself out of her seat to meet him halfway for a quick peck before returning to her screen. Barry leaning on the desk, watching her as she worked.
"I thought I gave you the day off?"
Caitlin stifled a laugh. "Well you were out of the city and I got bored, came to see Cisco and thought I might as well get on with the paperwork I was keeping back until tomorrow." Caitlin watched as Barry glanced over his shoulder, eyes flickering around the lab searching for Snart. "He's in your training room, I did tell him not to go in there but he went in there anyway."
Barry gave her a fast kiss on the forehead before heading into the training room to see what Snart wanted with him. Barry was starting to think Snart wanted to be part of the team. Barry found the older man peering at the treadmill, studying it with interest as he paced around it, taking the large machinery in. Barry leaned against the door frame waiting for Leonard to notice he was here; which granted didn't take very long because Snart quickly got bored with the treadmill.
"You took your time." Was all Snart said, no greeting just a simple complaint and Barry expected nothing more. He gave his signature smirk, eyes falling to the floor because he couldn't care less if he'd kept Snart waiting.
"Yeah, well I had nothing to rush for. I knew you wouldn't hurt Caitlin." Barry shrugged, pushing off of the door frame and entering the training room, glancing around until his eyes landed on Leonards icy ones. He let out a sharp chuckle.
"She was prepared for me this time, pointing a gun at me the moment I entered the room...guess she really does get taken a lot." Snart spoke, moving closer to Barry, "But your little doctor isn't what I came here for, I wanted to talk to you. Well specifically ask you to do something for me."
Barry shook his head with a grin in disbelief. "And why would I want to do that?"
"You won't, but it would mean I owe you again...all I'm asking is if you look for my sister, Barry," Snart sighed, shifting his gun in it's hold, making Barry's eyes shift to the object, remembering how much that gun could hurt him if he got shot with it. "She hasn't spoke in a while and I'm starting to get concerned, I might not like anyone else but as you know, my sister is something I do care for."
Barry folded his arms with a sigh, he knew his sister wasn't all bad. At least not as bad as Cold used to be and plus if Cisco knew she was missing he'd want Barry to at least search for her too, Barry knew he couldn't say no, even if he wanted to so he nodded. "Fine, Snart. I'll help you find her, but one shady move from you or her then that's it. I throw you both out of this city or into a jail cell."
Snart seemed more or less satisfied with the answer and nodded, holding his hands up to show his defense. "No shady moves here. Just find my sister and I will leave you and your little hero saving business alone until the next time I need you, or you know, you need me."
Barry rolled his eyes in annoyance, leaving the room and heading back into the cortex Snart following behind. Caitlin's eyes snapped towards them, she already knew Barry would agree to help Snart, it was just who he was but she was also aware of how backstabbing the Snart siblings could be when they wanted. Barry gave her a gentle smile before turning to Snart who'd made himself comfortable on what would usually be Cisco's chair.
"I'm going to look for her now, Caitlin has the entire cortex on speaker so whatever you say I'll hear, so if this is sketchy or you say something that I don't like, I'll be right back here and your sister can stay missing and you can look for her yourself." Barry threatened, glaring at the man in the large coat who let out a heavy sigh, rolling his head back in the chair.
"What possible shady thing could I be up to? I just need to know where my sister is and if she's in danger or not...if not then I'll be on my way and if she is...well you'd handle it before I even know."
Barry was still wary but he spared a glance at Caitlin who gave him a warm look like always and he was gone only leaving behind a couple of scattered papers that Caitlin had forgotten to put paper weights on. Caitlin sighed, waving it off and telling herself she'd pick them up later, she dropped back down on her chair, swivelling it slightly so that she could get a good look at Snart. Trying to suss out if he'd changed at all or not, she knew all about the time travel stuff, she'd heard the gossip from Felicity when she's called her last week. She could only gather that Snart had came back to 2017 to figure out where his sister had got too, unless he'd been kicked off.
"Where do you think your sister is?" Caitlin spoke up, eyes on Snart as his drifted over to her, and he narrowed his eyes, looking at her as though she was stupid.
"Isn't that what I came here to find out, Doc?" Caitlin cringed at the nickname, she'd never been called Doc in her life, she'd always preferred Doctor but right now she couldn't be bothered to argue with him so she brushed it off.
"Yes, but you wouldn't have came here unless you thought she was in some kind of danger...why would she be in danger?" Caitlin questioned, making Snart's eyes glance away from hers for a second before moving back. He shrugged.
"She's a thief like I was, she's stole many things, betrayed many people and so have I. Only few know I have a sister, but the ones that do I haven't exactly been there for recently, I ditched the stealing business and that never settles well for any thief." Snart told her, an expression crossing his features as he thought of those men. "They aren't good people that you can just leave them like that, if they do want to get to me for leaving without a trace...they'd take my sister and although she might have an attitude and a tenancy to piss me off, she's still my sister."
Caitlin never really understood the bond between siblings seem as she was an only child, she never really felt that love/hate feeling. But she had witnessed Cisco and Dante's relationship and that wasn't exactly something she envied, more like something she was glad she didn't have to put up with, she couldn't imagine having an annoying brother who bullied her all the time, nor having a sister who had a mind of her own, getting in trouble all she liked. She was grateful for being an only child.
"Well...wherever she is, Barry will find her and if she needs it, he'll save her too." Caitlin settled on, she wasn't exactly sure what his sister could be up to either. But she sounded like she was a target and Caitlin knew how that felt, so she softened a little feeling empathy for his Lisa.
