Happy Birthday Barry" Oliver cheered, slapping Barry's back with such force, he stumbled a little. Barry quickly regained his balance and nodded in thanks. Diggle had wandered off, most likely to find his wife. Oliver landed his gaze on Felicity, dancing with Caitlin, he could only just see their heads bopping up and down in the tune to the loud music. He hesitantly turned to Barry.

"I want her back, Barry" Oliver sighed, "I never wanted to let her go"

"Then go get her" Barry encouraged, he knew how grumpy Olivers been without Felicity and he was getting fed up with it. "I'll come over too" They headed towards the girls passing through the dancing bodies, swerving around careful to avoid people flailing arms. Until they finally reached them, bumping into them actually. "Cait. Hey"

"Oh hi birthday boy! Like the party?" Her voice a little loud but Barry just simply smiled, a little laugh escaping.

"I love it, thank you...you really didn't have to go to this much trouble for my birthday" He called, getting nudged by a dancer behind him, turning around to glare at them, before returning to look at Caitlin who'd stepped closer, mostly because she was getting nudged too.

"Nonsense Barry, look, everyone's having fun, join in...oh I know what we can do!" She squealed happily, she stopped dancing and held his hand, it was a little colder than usual but that might've been where they were in the abandoned warehouse. She dragged him over to a table with rows and rows of glowing paint, stopping him beside it with a grin. It was practically empty over by the table because most people had already painted themselves. Barry nor Caitlin had one spec of paint on them. She picked up the paint brush and smirked. Raising her brush to his nose and painting a line, the paint took immediate effect, Caitlin saw the way the paint made his skin look soft, warm and his eyes lit up. She hadn't realised but she'd just been staring, the brush still in her hand half way in the air. Barry had gone silent too until he jerked his head and snapped himself back to reality. Taking the paint brush behind her, a luminous pink one, he painted a heart on her cheek, adding two warrior lines. As soon as the brush left her face, she beamed. Her teeth glowing white as an effect to all the glowing in the building, Barry laughed, noticing how glowing she now looked.

"You know, you look like a christmas tree" He chuckled, punching her arm lightly, she open her mouth in shock as though she was offended and a mischievous smile appeared. She lifted the yellow paint brush, flicking it in Barry's direction and it splattered over his face and some on his clothes.

"And you look like an art project" She grinned playfully, about to walk off, but Barry caught her wrist carefully, getting some green paint and flicking it onto her...then it became a paint war. Caitlin flicking all sorts of colours at Barry and Barry doing the same. Until all that was left is their slightly less painted hair, by that point they were in fits of laughter, mostly at the people around them getting mad that they were splashed with bits of paint.
Caitlin snagged the brush once more, this time painting her own hand with the yellow paint and instructing Barry to paint his green. He held up his now green hand and she held up her yellow one, holding them together with a grin, before pulling apart and both their hands were blue.

"Nice" Barry commented, he opened his mouth to continue but Cisco's voice seemed to yell over his own, so Barry rolled his eyes in annoyance and shut up.

"Barry! There you are! Woah...look at you, both of you...your really into glow in the dark, your like the brightest people here" Cisco rambled, shaking his head trying to remember the point he was trying to get to but the alcohol was getting to his head. "Right, people are wondering where you are...you might be bright but they don't see you, come on"

Cisco latched onto Barry's forearm, ready to pull him through but Barry forced Cisco to wait. He looked to Caitlin who was tying back her hair into a bun. Barry had known Caitlin for almost three years, an unbelievably, he had never seen her hair in a bun. His cheeks burned, realising he was staring but he wanted to stare just a little longer. She caught him watching her and smirked, snatching his hand, nodding to Cisco, informing him she'd follow behind him. "Mr Allen, we didn't invite you guests who have even come from different cities so that we can flick paint at each other, come on"

"But Cait, I like spending time with you, despite what other people say it's fun"

"What other people s-? Oh, forget it, as much as I like spending time with you too, people are waiting for you" Caitlin sighed, keeping her eyes on Cisco as they headed through the crowds of people. Cisco suddenly stopped and ushered Caitlin to get Barry over there, Barry stumbled out of the crowd a little dazed, making Caitlin giggle. "This is were we part unfortunately, I'm going to find Iris, I haven't actually seen her yet...Oh there's Thea. Goodbye Barry"

Barry was ready to leap after Caitlin but Cisco caught his arm once again. "No. You can see Caitlin later, this is your party, you've got to thank everyone for coming" Cisco slurred, Barry sighed knowing he was right and glanced back at where Caitlin had headed off to, but by now it looked like she'd got swallowed whole by the crowd.
