Caitlin had woken before him, she had no idea the time, the screen was blue indicating they had finished the film without turning it off. She eased out of Barry's hold, it wasn't to hard seem as he was sleeping but it ached being away from his safe hold. They'd both fallen asleep near the end of the second film, Caitlin still wrapped around Barry and Barry holding her like a treasure. She streched, waking the sleeping limbs in her body and heaving herself off the sofa, cleaning up their mess quietly as Barry slept. She'd tidied the living room and sat across from Barry watching his as he slept soundly.
"He looks gorgeous even in his sleep" Caitlin mumbled to herself, smiling sweetly at her sleeping friend. As she spoke Barry stirred still sleeping but Caitlin froze afraid he'd heard her.
"Cait..." Barry called out in his sleep, Caitlin grinned a sign of victory. Her mind was running wild, her heart fluttered and she had a look that only someone in love could own. She stayed beaming even when he woke, startling her with a groggy hey as he entered the kitchen as she washed up the dishes.
"Your awake" She smiled, putting a dish on the drying rack, wiping her hands and gazing at Barry whilst he ran his fingers through his hair in an attempt to brush it, making Caitlins stomach do somersaults.
"You feeling better?" He asked, dropping onto her dining chair, he looked Caitlin scanning her frame noticing she'd changed for work already knowing he must of been asleep long. "Sorry I took a while to wake up, it's the best sleep I've had since my dad...you know"
"Much" She answered, folding the towel and popping it away sitting across from Barry. "I don't mind honestly, you looked...peaceful"
"Well I didn't wake up screaming so, I must of slept good" He chuckled but Caitlins face crumbled in worry, the sickening feeling she got when Barry was hurt hitting her. She extended her hand placing it over Barrys.
"Barry, I'm your doctor. You should tell me if you aren't sleeping"
"Your also my friend who should stop worrying, I got an amazing nights sleep and I'm pretty sure that cured my nights of not sleeping" Barry assured her, giving her hand a little squeeze before speeding into fresh clothes. "Besides, haven't we got work to do?"
Caitlin rolled her eyes but stood up waiting for Barry to scoop her up.
"You sure you want to go to work today? You were sick yesterday" Barry asked hesitant whether to make her stay here.
"I was sick because I thought of Jay, I had a little fever now its gone, I should check your health when we get there, I slept with you-beside you! Not with you, oh god!" Caitlin groaned, putting her head in her hands. "I've spent to much time with Felicity"
Barry couldn't help but laugh as he watched her bury her embaressed face in her hands, he let her slip up slide and tried to assure her he was fine. "I feel right as rain Cait, now...we should get to work"
"We're already late, an hour almost, run Barry run before Cisco kills us before any meta can" Caitlin chuckled, clinging to Barry's neck preparing for the run. He chuckled a small sadness in his heart, Wells and his father were the ones who'd told him to run like that, but he let Caitlin say it because he loved seeing her happy and to him that was worth the small ache in his heart. He dashed out of the building and as fast as he could to the labs, Caitlin hopped off as they stood in the centre of the cortex only to have interrupted whatever Cisco, Iris and Joe had been talking about. Caitlin and Barry made the same winced expression knowing they'd interrupted something. "Sorry"
"Where have you been? We've been calling both of you since you didn't show up you two are usually the first here, we thought something had happened, one of you or both of you kidnapped, it wouldn't be the first time" Iris growled angrily, poking Barrys chest as soon he put Caitlin down. Barry stepped back a little afraid of Iris, all the room frustrated with the pair.
