Caitlin felt a saddened feeling as she walked into her home. It felt so empty. She'd gotten used to having Felicity staying there for the past week and a bit, she'd forgotten how lonely it was when she was alone. Caitlin dropped her keys in dish with a sigh, she missed Felicity already, she was her best friend, sure Cisco and Barry were too but she liked having some female company, Iris was never really around much. When her mind wandered to Barry, a smiled appeared across her face unable to control it. Barry Allen was her boyfriend. She'd have to get used to saying that, it had a nice ring to it. Caitlin headed for the kitchen, it was already late so she just popped a microwavable meal in the microwave and ate that. The events of the past few days flashing in her mind, a lot had happened and all so fast. Although it had been like that ever since the day Barry Allen was struck by that lightning, she remembered when she saw him in the hospital, a day after he was struck, the day Wells referred him to Star Labs. He seemed so...damaged in her mind, as bad as her at that point, Barry was someone to keep her busy, checking his vitals, feeding him food, making sure he survived had become her everyday job for nine months. She remembered feeling a slight prick of sadness when Barry woke, knowing her job that she'd gotten so used to was probably over, that the man that had been led unconscious before her, the one she'd been taking care of all this time was about to up and go and she sort of felt hurt. Caitlin shook her head at the memory, she was glad Barry woke up, happy he wanted to stay with Star Labs, happy he stayed in her life.
"Who'd have thought Barry Allen and Caitlin Snow, huh?" She heard a low, rough, horribly familiar voice scoff. She startled, stumbling back a little as she entered the living room, almost dropping her food. She felt the dear raise in her but battled it, not daring to show it, knowing the man before her would sense her fear from miles but the disbelief couldn't be hidden, not from this.
