Barry woke hearing a miserable groan beside him, for a second he thought Caitlin was hurt and he bolted upright, waking himself up and his eyes fell on her. Caitlin led both the heels of her hands pressed against her forehead, she couldn't remember drinking so much, but it made sense seem as she was a light weight. Barry let out a sigh of relief seeing that she was fine and allowed himself to drop back down beside her, he couldn't remember the feeling of a hangover but the curses and mutters coming from Caitlin about the ticking of the clock that he had hung in his room; he knew he should be grateful for that fact.
"God, sometimes I wish I was the one that had got hit by the lightning." Caitlin grumbled, pulling the blanket off of her and she found Barry's shirt from the night before and slipped it over her head. Barry let his eyes skim over her before gliding out of bed himself, flashing on his clothes the whooshing sound turned out to be too much for Caitlin because she flipped around to him, holding a glare that could kill.
"Sorry." Barry apologised innocently, holding his hands up in surrender but he couldn't suppress the smirk that was dancing across his lips. "Maybe you shouldn't have drank so much."
"Barry..." The tone in her voice was a warning that he shouldn't continue whatever he was trying to get at. Barry understood and made his way around until his hands slid around her waist, planting a quick kiss on her cheek before drifting off into the kitchen to prepare the hangover remedy that he remembered Joe used to make for him. Unfortunately the memory of the taste never seemed to leave him, every time he thought of the disgusting drink the taste appeared in his mouth and he'd cringe. Caitlin went in the opposite direction heading into the living room an dropping herself onto end of the couch, a hand pressing to her temple trying to ease the throbbing but it was useless. All she could remember was the part of the night where her and Barry burst through the door, lips crashing together as they hurried upstairs. But other than that, everything seemed to be a mystery.
"For you, my sweet." Barry tried to keep his smug smile down as he handed her something that looked like puke in a glass. Caitlin gave him a look to ask if this was a joke. "Cait, it'll help with the headache, I promise. Joe used to make it for me when I had one before...well you know, the lightning strike."
Caitlin was so desperate to rid herself of the headache that she took hold of the drink, her fingers brushing Barry's the feeling still managed to erupt goosebumps all up her arm. "Thank you," Caitlin said quietly, she pinched her nose, knowing from the sour smell that it was going to taste bad. The liquid made her want to throw it back up, she cringed at the lumpy texture as it slivered down her throat. Barry watched her in sympathy before getting back on his feet, pressing a kiss on her temple as she downed the final bit of the drink.
"Maybe I'll stop you from drinking so much next time, at least I got another karaoke session out of you." Barry winked before disappearing off into the bathroom, Caitlin's eyes widened as she licked her lips cleaning off any of the green liquid that could be lingering on her lip. Caitlin heard the shower start to run but she pressed herself against the door.
"What do you mean, another karaoke session?!" Caitlin called through the door. But a couple of seconds without an answer she heard Barry's sweet voice chirp up and she banged on the door. "Barry, what other place do I have to sign off? Please don't say Jitters!"
Barry still didn't respond but she could sense his grin from the other side of the door, Caitlin let out a sigh and shook her head. She decided she'd take advantage of the empty bedroom and she slipped on last nights clothes which wasn't exactly clean but she'd ask Barry to take her home so she didn't have to walk through the streets at nine o'clock dressed in fancy clothes. She scans the room for her phone knowing she'd have to call Cisco and inform him she'd most likely be a little later today; honestly she was pretty sure Cisco wasn't at work himself right now.
There was a click of a door and a pat of feet before Barry came in, Caitlin tensing as she saw him her throat tightening as though she couldn't speak. Barry grinned, noticing her expression but moved to his closet and selecting a selection of clothes to wear and in a few seconds he was out of the towel and in a jumper and jeans as he usually was nowadays. Caitlin's eyes met his as she searched for her ability to speak, Barry let out a light laugh.
"Of course I'll drop you home, hopefully that remedies kicked in because I don't think your brain's going to like this." Barry muttered before scooping Caitlin into his arms, she let out a quiet yelp at the sudden speed he lifted her with but her arms quickly locked around his neck ready for him to run. She remembered when he first held her like this and she was terrified he would drop her. "Ready?"
"Ready."

I know, I know. I'm sorry guys, it been a reallyyy long time. I'd never meant to not update for this long but I kept losing motivation for my Snowbarry stories and I know that doesn't exactly justify not updating for a really long time, but I do see your comments and votes so thank you, I'll do my best to update more frequently but my final exams start next week so no promises. But I do promise that I will try.
Thank you guys so much! Until next chapter! :)
