"You only live once." This is the overly used excuse that we use every time we make a decision and that's fine because it's true.
This also goes with 'Love'.
For once in our lives, we would eventually experience this love - the kind of love that jus...

Chapter 2: Dreaded Ring
--Kiara--
I went straight to the aisle full of expensive perfumes.
We are currently at the Mall to buy 'the gift' my bestfriend here wants to give his lovely girlfriend. Tsk.
"You seriously need to interview your pretty little girlfriend about her likes and dislikes, Nate! It's very hard to guess what she likes, you know!" I cringed while smelling every bottle of perfume and complained to my sweet thickheaded bestfriend emphasizing the word 'girlfriend'.
Not that I want to remind him of their relationship and definitely not even one percent approving of it but emphasizing it would be a wake up call for him to have a go-buy-her gifts-your-own-you're-hurting-me idea.
Sadly, he never got the message.
"Stop complaining, Kia! You already have hunky, what else do you want for you to shut up and just pick the freaking gift?" Irritation is audible from his voice.
I nearly answered 'You. You moron! I want you!' in his pathetic question. But I held myself back. It's not a wise idea to say such thing. It will only ruin our friendship.
Yeah, right! Friends for life! Hurray Kiara! You would probably win the Best Friend of the Century because of this!
If there is anything, I'm feeling a bit crazier than usual, talking to the voices in my head trying to make amends with my subconscious that wants to slap me in the face right now.
I stopped in front of a jewelry store after we went out of the perfume shop. There is this necklace that caught my attention so I went in and Nathan followed me inside.
"Have you seen something Stacy would love??" He hurriedly look at the shimmering jewels in front of us. I didn't bother answering him, my eyes are only focused on the thing that caught my attention in the first place.
"Hi Ma'am, Sir. Do you want me to show you the gallery inside?" A saleslady popped up to our side.
"No, that won't be necessary. I found an interesting item here outside. Thanks for the offer though." I smiled at her and pointed to a thin white gold necklace with a simple heart-shaped locket.
There is this engravement on it that got my interest. It has a letter K intricately carved into it, as if it was made just for me.
"Can I see that, please?" The saleslady gave me a polite smile before she obliged. It was then that Nathan appeared on my side and narrowed his eyes at what I have in my hand.
"Oh, did you ask them to make you one? It's cool y'know." He has this toothy grin again. My heart gone wild with our short distance, I can hardly breathe.
"Hey Kia! Cat got your tongue, eh?" He's wiggling his brows playfully, having no idea whatsoever at what that simple gesture can do to me. I cleared my throat before tearing my eyes from him and back to the jewelry.
