"This one's good, Kia! This one too. And this! Oh my! They all look fabulous!" Piwie exclaimed while looking at the sketches of gowns the designer brought with him.

My Mom and Piwie came barging in my apartment with the world renowned French designer Stefan Dubois this morning saying that I should pick the gown that I will wear in my debut.

How could I even forget my own birthday? If it weren't for them, I swear I won't have even the slightest idea how important that day is. Well, with everything that's happening lately, I guess no one could blame me. 'Andrew even started avoiding me after that day' I sighed.

" Hey! Earth to Kiara! Are you still with us?!" Piwie snapped her fingers which made me look at her.

"H-huh? Y-yeah... Y-yeah.. So I just need to choose a gown right?" They eyed me as if assessing if I'm still sane.

"Y-yes Darling." Mom smiled hesitantly. I ignored her and scanned the sketches on top of the table. They are all beautifully drawn but there's one that caught my attention. It is a blue gown resembling that of Cinderella's ball gown.

I know it sounds cheesy but I've fantasized myself being in Cinderella's shoes several times

I know it sounds cheesy but I've fantasized myself being in Cinderella's shoes several times. Though I'm not mistreated nor have been a chamber maid, I still felt like somehow we have the something in common. What that is, I still don't know. I found myself smiling while staring at the piece of art work.

"Oh! Every girl sure loves that kind of ball gown! I should say this will suit you well, Mademoiselle." Stefan took the design from me and gave it to his assistant.

"You sure still believe in that fairytale crap, Kia? I would go for that off-shoulder with plunging neckline gown, if I were you. Piwie shook her head and cringe her nose in disgust.

"W-what?! Is it a crime now?" I hid my amusement. In terms of those kinds of stories, Piwie prefers the version of The Grimm Brothers. Creepy right? Well, that's Piwie for you.

"My, my.. Of course you can choose whichever gown you would like to wear since it's your party." My Mom smiles sweetly which made me roll my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mom but sometimes her guts drives me crazy.

Minutes later, we're already done with the measurements needed for the gown then after a few more minutes of chit-chat with Mom, Stefan and his crew bid their goodbyes.

Mom and Piwie are engrossed with a conversation that I don't find interesting when Loreta, our housekeeper announced the arrival of a visitor. I looked at Mom and she just shrugged.

"Hello ladies! Seeing beautiful women in the afternoon makes me want to have some tea." Nathan walked his way to the balcony of my apartment. He first went to Mom and kissed her cheek then he did the same with Piwie.

"Oh, Nathan! How are you, son?" My Mom looks ecstatic while I felt my face reddened. 'Son?? Where did that came from?'

Piwie cleared her throat and gave me a teasing look. "Yeah, Nate. What are you doing here anyway? Perhaps, you're gonna ask Kiara to go out on a date?" I just rolled my eyes but my whole being betrayed me when my cheeks blushed.
