'I knew this would happen'

Piwie and I arrived at the prom an hour ago and here we are on the reserved seat beside the buffet table munching in some snacks . Yeah, it was reserved for us since Piwie doesn't want to be bothered with her relationship with the food.

I sighed while looking at her busy chewing  the food she stuffed her mouth. Who would have thought she is an heiress of a million-dollar hotel chain? No one. I can feel myself cringed.

I scanned the crowd to look for him but I guess he despised the idea of prom now that his plans are ruined. I smiled bitterly as I recall the rage in his eyes after I confessed my love to him. He must feel betrayed.

'Don't feel sorry for the jerk! He was your friend and he must have known you better but his selfishness got the good of him' My subconscious is fighting with me now. Great!

"Well hello beautiful ladies. How are you enjoying the night?" I turned to look at the person who spoke who happens to be a grinning Andrew. He looked ravishing with his tux and brushed up hair. Well, he always do look good these days.

"Djrew!" Piwie exclaimed, some of the food stuffed in her mouth blowing out. "Piw! Don't talk when your mouth is full! Ugh! Manners please!" I threw a table napkin at her disgusting face while she just murmured 'Sure, Grandma' at me while pouting.

"Hahah! I suppose you're having a good time." He sat next to me and started digging into my plate. "Hey! There is the buffet table next to us, you can get your own, you know!?" I slapped his hands away from my food and he just laughed at me.

"Oh is that so? Kiara-the-grumpy-obsessive-compulsive-freak?" His laughter roared as if he really is enjoyed teasing me and I just snorted when Piwie joined him and laughed at me.

"I don't even know if you just came from the toilet and didn't wash your hands so back off dude! You both are disgusting!" Andrew stopped laughing and looked at me seriously then to Piwie who also stopped laughing.

"How did you know I just came from the bathroom and didn't wash my hands???" He said seriously while eyeing me. I felt my face drained colors and slowly stopped chewing the food I got from him. I saw him raised both his eyebrows repeatedly at me then laughed so loud with his hands patting the table.

"How dare you!!! Simons!" I punched him anywhere my hands landed but he just laughed hard with Piwie then I found myself laughing with them. 'Oh, I just miss my friends'

We were all teary eyed from laughing too much when a slow rock dominated the hall. Andrew stood up and bowed like a gentleman from a medieval era and offered his hands to me. I was still laughing softly at his playfull gestures.

"May I have this dance, Mi'lady?" He said playfully. I heard Piwie chuckle but I wasn't able to give any comments anymore when he pulled me up and dragged me to the dance floor.

We settled ourselves in the middle of the dance floor. He placed his hands on my waist as I put mine on his broad shoulders. We are both smiling to each other, looking through each others eyes.

We started swaying in harmony with the song. I thought a slow dance is not suitable for this kind of music but I guess it depends on the mood. I looked around us and there are several couples dancing with it as well. My head turned back to Andrew as I heard him sing along when the chorus came.
