A/N:
Hey there peeps! First of all I would like to thank everyone of you who's reading this right now.
I started this story one gloomy day and I didn't expect for this to have readers except me. Hehe (aww I'm such a loner) But seeing it gain 300 reads, though it's too small for a number for other authors here but it's too overwhelming for me already. (Wiped tears) so I'm ecstatic super duper! You even added it to your reading list and patiently wait for the slow poke author to update. What can I say more? I feel so very loved! Well, let's not delay this any further, shall we? Meh~
Again thank you so much! Enjoy!********************************
"Is he for real, Kia? I mean no offense but the last time I checked, he humiliated you in front of everyone at prom and he was in so much rage back then. So what the hell happened now?" Andrew said with so much irritation while eyeing Nathan who currently is in the middle of his football practice."Oh c'mon, Drew! Give the poor guy a break! We all know that of all people, he must have been the most affected and hurting. He did horrible things to Kiara, that truth cannot be altered but then again I don't think he meant any of it because he was mad." Piwie interjected and she even matched Andrew's irritated tone.
I sighed shaking my head and refused to listen to their arguments anymore. This is actually not the first time we've gone through this kind of conversation. Every time we came across Nathan, they will take sides. Andrew will be totally against Nathan all around me while Piwie always contradict him whenever he starts trash talking Nate.
I shouldn't be taking sides for they both have a point so I just keep my mouth shut like now. We are in the bleachers on the side of the football field.
Apparently Piwie and Andrew was given a task to make an article about our football varsity team while I was bugged by Nathan to wait for him so we can go home together.
That's one thing that definitely changed between us. Instead of going to school in different vehicles, Nathan convinced me to just go together. I was hesitant at first since I was not used to his cheesy antics but who am I kidding? Of course, I also like the idea of us going anywhere together in fact I actually love it!
"Hey Kia, you are so not listening." Piwie got my attention back to her and Drew when she tapped me in the shoulder.
I blinked three times as my mind processed everything that might have happened after I drifted to my memory lane. "W-what about, Piw?" I looked confusedly at Piwie who has been seated on my right side.
"Ugh! Seriously, Kiara? We've been arguing here about your current situation with Nate, and all you do is to daydream??" Piwie looked at me in disbelief and I even heard Andrew cursed under his breath.
'So I was the one at fault now, huh?' is what I wanted to tell them but I myself know why they are acting this way. The change in Nathan's attitude towards me and the engagement was just so sudden but unlike them, I accepted every bits of it without hesitation. I was just so thankful that finally the Nathaniel I knew came back to life.
I took a deep breath and my eyes caught the figure of the man of the hour waving at us, well at me in particular while smiling. Without concerning the other two pairs of eyes watching me, I smiled and waved back at him.
"You're being too soft, Kiara." I heard Andrew groaned at my left but my eyes are only fixed to one person.
"Of course she'd be soft when it comes to Nate. He finally acknowledged her and that's what we've been hoping for ages." Piwie retorted but again I didn't mind them but they kept bickering like a buzzing bees on my both ears. That's it!
