A/N:
Hey there! I've had another update for you guys!
Not Edited. Have fun!
--Kiara--
"Hey, were you even listening?" I lift my head from the note I have on my hand to a frowning Piwie.
She was babbling about something she and her current conquest did over the weekend but I vaguely have an idea what it was about to begin with. I stopped paying attention as soon as she started squeaking like a high school girl.
Am I being a mean best friend? Nah. I don't think so. Her list of 'true love' has gone a long way back since we started College. She's practically saying the same thing even after her thirteenth relationship, fourteenth if you count the latest one who she just met from Nathan's after party last week. I'm not even sure if a one to two months of being a fling would even count as relationship let alone be called true love, that is.
It never ever crossed my mind that my weird and awkward best friend would be this social. Hell, if you told me a few years back that Penelope Greene would be a player sort of girl during College, I would have slapped you hard across the face for insulting her but hey, guess everyone is bound to change. Even as weird as her.
I sighed, stifling to roll my eyes. "Piwie, Boy number 14 is a jerk. Why would you even consider him as a true-love thing?" She snorted as she rolled her eyes.
"Kiara, boy number 14 has a name. It's Jorge. You are really not listening, gosh! I've been going on my long list of reasons as to why he's my ultimate true-love for like," She paused to look over her wristwatch. "like about ten minutes now. What is it that keeps you zoning out these days!?" She ended her rant with a dramatic sigh.
I showed her a lopsided smile. "Yeah right. As if holding hands, forehead kisses and comical i love you's are something not every douche does to get to a girl's pants these days." I retorted dryly.
"Ha! Says the one who's been receiving chocolates, flowers, random serenade and monogrammed notes every heartbeat. It's 21st century people! You and Andrew are so out of date! Plus, he's making your ass fat with all those sweets!" I rolled my eyes at her again. Such a drama queen.
"Oh Penelope, you once said he's the sweetest some time ago and you wanted one like him for a boyfriend. Have you already forgotten?" I smirked when she smiled wryly then rolled her eyes.
Well, she's apparently telling the truth. He hasn't stopped surprising me after the pick-up lines on a monogrammed notes and the random serenade over the school's broadcast system yesterday.
Just as I arrived this morning, he was already on my parking space waiting for me with a bouquet of tulips at hand and just as my classes starts although he is in junior and I am in sophomore, the endless monogrammed notes still came rushing. Trust Andrew to have everything his way once he put his mind to it.
I looked at the third black monogrammed note I received just before I enter the cafeteria just now. Unlike the first two which comes with chocolates, this has nothing with it. I read the passage for the fifth time.
You said you are not ready and I can relate,
I've been away far from you I have no alibi to say,
I've hurt you more than anyone and I suffer from it everyday,
But let me make it up to you with no promises just don't allow the hate.No one will ever make me feel better than you my love,
So please be kind enough and accept everything I have,
For I will wait for you to say you want to take me back,
I will wait every waking hours of my day filling what I've lack.
