Not Edited. Hope you enjoy!

PS: The Scientist by Coldplay on Multimedia. That song really suits this Chapter. One of my favorites! 😍😁

"C-can I see her?" I heard my own voice as I break the silence between us. No one dared to speak after his story until now.

A smile crept up on his face when he nodded. "Sure you can..."

The next thing I know, I was being guided by Andrew to the room just across his. He didn't even bother knocking on the door and just twisted the knob then flinging the frame open. He stepped aside and let me slid through it first and as soon as I stepped inside the room; painted with shades of pink and white, a mixture of baby products, specifically powder and cologne with the hint of milk greeted me.

I let my eyes roam around the room and I noticed that there are only a few furnitures sitting awkwardly in the middle of it, almost crammed near the baby bed. Aside from a massive pink wooden crib with silk drapes, a nightstand, love seat and divider full of stuff animals, the room is practically bare despite the size of it that is almost as big as the master's bedroom.

"That's her..." I heard Andrew murmur beside me but I am still on a battle with myself as to why the baby's room is designed the way it is. If I were to decide, I will be redecorating this to a much more soothing place for a baby, with the touch of everything nature-inspired so she can grow up like the sunshine.

"...okay?" I was out from my reverie when a hand slid through my wrist, tugging on it.

"Huh? I'm sorry, what was it again?" I blinked twice when I realized how I was so out in space for God knows how long. Andrew looks like he aged up too fast with all the lines that has been gathered across his forehead and with the wary look he's been giving me.

"I was introducing you to Annika but you look....distracted." The hesitation that trailed on his last word didn't escape my ears but I shrugged it off nonetheless. I know he's stressing right now with all the things going on with his life and aggravating the whole situation is nowhere to be found in my list. Not now I guess, maybe some other time.

"Sorry." I mumbled. I almost shake my head and hit myself when I realize how distracted I really was. Seriously. I didn't even realize that we are already standing next to that same massive crib I was just staring at a while ago from the threshold of the door. When did I actually walk to be here is quite a mystery. I can make it pass as an auto pilot mode as to how smooth and stealth my moves were.

"What was it that you're thinking, really? You just zone out again." He pointed out whispering loud enough for me to hear.

I smiled sheepishly. I bet if the lights weren't dimly lighted he will tease me with my face blushing stupidly, ashamed about the thoughts I have in mind.

"I was... actually thinking of... err...renovating the room, if I were to be asked that is." I said slowly after clearing my throat. I lifted my eyes from my fiddling hands to his silver orbs when I heard nothing in response. He looks completely surprised about something I just said. His mouth is parted, eyes are blinking rapidly while his silver gaze not leaving my topaz ones. Then realization hit me hard in the face and panic started washing over me. I found my hand clasping on my mouth automatically with a gasp.
