—Andrew—Have you ever felt so worried, afraid, and frustrated all at the same time? If yes, then welcome to the club.
"Will you please stop? Seriously—dude. Stop pacing!" I put my left foot down slowly and stopped on my tracks as I gave Nathan a sideway glance. If this is happening any other day, I might have laughed at how crumpled and exhausted his face is at the moment but I can't because I know I'm no better. He sighed loudly before patting the empty space on the couch that he is sitting at, gesturing me to sit beside him which I reluctantly did.
"Relax Drew. It's Kiara that we are talking about here. She will come around." Nathan draped an arm around my shoulder before shifting his weight to face me, his other hand formed into a fist to fist-bumped my arm.
"I know, Nate. But I'm still worried." I cupped my face with my hands as I groan out of frustration while I heard him sigh again. We are on that position when we heard laughters that are coming from the foyer of Nathan and Stacy's house.
We both tilted our heads to get a clear view of the people coming inside their living room even though by just listening to their vague laughters and clinking hills, there's no need to guess who they are.
"Oh! Look who's here!" Stacy's voice echoed the house.
Nathan pushed himself to stand while his weight are still on my shoulders before walking towards Stacy and kiss her lips.
"H-Hey Stace. How are things going?" I cleared my throat before asking politely, ignoring how breathless they are.
"All good. How about you? I heard what happened between you and Kia—Hey! Scarlet! Don't you—stop!" I stifled a laugh as Stacy dashed towards their two years old daughter, Scarlet, who decided to run with her mother's bag. My eyes followed Stacy as she struggled to keep up with Scarlet as the little girl lead her on.
"They are such pain in my ass, you know?" I glanced at Nathan who is standing beside me. His eyes shows nothing but happiness in them. I chuckled lightly before shaking my head.
"I bet they are." I shifted my gaze back to where his family disappeared.
Two years. It has been that long since Nathan and Stacy got married and started building their own family. A year after, Piwie and Liam decided to tie the knot as well after learning about Piwie's pregnancy and now they have their baby boy. While here I am, getting frustrated with my own relationship.
"Do you think she would still want to be with me?" I hesitantly asked Nathan without looking at him referring to Kiara after a few minutes of silence. We are still standing in the middle of their living room where Stacy left us.
"What do you think? I mean, if you were her...will you?" I snapped my head towards his direction with narrowed eyes, he's smirking at me. "You know her, Andrew. She's upset but that doesn't mean that she hates you." He added, now looking serious.
"What should I do? She's not answering my calls." I run my hands through my hair. I know Kiara. We've been together long enough for me to know how to reconcile with her but this is different. She never walked out on me and never did she not answer my calls even if we have some misunderstandings. Well not until last night.
"Man up dude. She won't wait forever." He said quizzically as he pats my shoulder before walking past me.
I groaned frustratedly.
