Dan walked around Washington Sq. Park, admiring the sweet weather spring was bringing. Children laughed in the playground, couples sat at benches, friends chatted casually and yet Dan couldn't bring himself to cheer the fuck up. He frustratedly tugged at his hair and breathed in deeply. Finally calming himself down, he walked over to the subway and took it to Times Square.
Times Square contradicted the quiet, peaceful mood at Washington Sq. Park. The streets were packed with tourists. Skyscrapers loomed over the him, flashing advertisements in Dan's eyes. It was too much.
He hated it. The sound, the people, the shouting, the chaos. He. Hated. It.
At that moment he didn't think twice before leaving the scene that filled his mind to the brim with anxiety. He walked back over to the subway, bought a ticket, got in the train and let it take him wherever it wanted.
Okay real talk I hate Times Square. Why do tourists like it so much can someone explain?
Also chapters will be short but updates more frequent! I hope that's okay with you guys
