They began walking the winding streets into piazzas and alley ways and paths around Rome. It was absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking.
Except the hordes of tourists traveling to world famous monuments and sites.
Dan's breathing got heavier as he began to panic at the sight of them. "So loud" he mumbled.
Breathe in 1, 2, 3, 4
Breathe out 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
"Dan, are you alright?"
"Too much"
Phil immediately understood and nodded. "Come with me"
Phil lead Dan to a quiet alley where no tourists could be seen. He calmly asked him if he felt a bit better and Dan's breathing slowly returned to normal. "I'm good now. Sorry"
"Don't say sorry, it's not your fault and never will be. Just let me help you and we'll get through this together, okay?"
Dan sighed and smiled in relief.
"Want some gelato?" Phil asked.
"Hell to the fucking yeah. Now this is what I came here for"
