When Life Gives You Lester

It's the end???? What????

"Dan! You're back!"

Dan walked up to his therapist and hugged her.

"Who's this?" she asked upon seeing Phil. She beckoned for him to come further into the room, as he was standing at the doorway.

"I'm Phil, Dan's fiancé"
"Fiancé?" she exclaimed. A look of relief washed over her face and she threw her hands up. "This is amazing! Dan, congratulations!"

They all laughed and sat down.

"How are things? Looking good as far as I can tell" she said, glancing from Dan to Phil.

"Things are the best they could ever be. I'm extremely happy and- it's incredible"

She leaned back in her chair and sighed. "I guess my work here is done. You've completely changed, Dan. And for the better"

They talked to her for a bit longer, said their goodbyes, and left. When they reached their newly bought apartment in London, they sat on the couch and smiled.

Dan and Phil looked at each other.

This was their new life. A new start.

"Phil?"
"Yeah, Dan?"
"This was the most fun I've ever had. Thank you"
