Nakaupo si Sarah sa loob ng simabahan. Umiiyak habang nagdadasal. May ilang buwan na rin n’yang ginagawa ito… halos araw-araw na ginagawa ito. And each time she feels the same pain… hindi nababawasan at parang mas lalo pang nagpapabigat sa loob n’ya.
“Lord alam ko po that everything happens for a reason. Ang pagkuha n’yo po kay Luis sa akin ng maaga ay may rason. Pero sa totoo lang po hanggang ngayon I still don’t get it. Lord please help me understand. Please tell me the reason. At kung hindi naman po pagmamalabis, please give me something to live for. It’s so hard to move on when the only person you have considered your life suddenly leaves.”
From her right side, a hand appeared and offered a handkerchief. “Everything will be okay. You just have to be patient enough to feel it. Kunin mo itong panyo ko. Hindi matutuyo ng kamay mo ‘yang mga luha mo.”
She looked up at him. Nakita n’yang ngumiti ang lalaki. “Thank you,” she said as she got the handkerchief from him. Before she could say anything more, he turned around to leave. She watched him as he walked away.
