Don't Go
"What the hell is this?!" Lapis' mother demanded. The two girls jumped. "Who are you?!" Her mother shouted at Peridot.
"M-my name is Peridot, Peridot Diamond." The blonde girl replied. "Oh, it's you. The one who got my daughter drunk." She frowned. Peridot looked down at Lapis, who seemed to be even more scared than she already was.
"Get out of my house." Lapis' mother then said. "M-ma'am, I don't think that's a good idea-" She cut Peridot off. "Go!" She yelled.
"Mrs. Lazuli, I don't think you should be raising your voice. You're scaring Lapis." Peridot said. It was true, Lapis was shaking and crying. Lapis' mother frowned and shook her head.
"Lapis, let go. She's leaving." The tan woman said. Lapis shook her head and clung closer to Peridot. Lapis' mother gave Peridot a look that said 'get a move on before I kill you.'
Peridot tried to pull away from Lapis. The bluenette just clung closer, mumbling. "Lapis I have to leave." Peridot said quietly.
"No, don't go." Lapis cried. Peridot looked at the girl and frowned. "I don't want you in anymore trouble." She said.
Peridot pulled away again, but Lapis was not letting go. Her mother then pulled at Lapis' hand. The tan girl slapped her mother's hand and squeezed Peridot.
Lapis' mother gasped, a look of bewilderment on her face. "Lapis Lazuli.." She frowned. "Please don't go.." Lapis begged Peridot.
"I have to." Peridot said. "No.." Lapis whispered, more tears rolling down her cheeks. "Lapis let go of her, now." Her mother said.
"Leave me alone!" Lapis snapped. She then looked up at Peridot. "Don't go, please. If you go I'll drown." The bluenette sobbed.
Oddly Peridot knew what she was talking about. It was about her nightmare, of course. Meaning if Peridot left, Lapis would fall back asleep and "Jasper" would come back to drown her.
"Oh Lapis knock it off. Go." Lapis' mother said to Peridot. The blonde girl gave her a nod and pulled away from Lapis. "No!" Lapis exclaimed.
Peridot turned without a word. She wanted to go back to Lapis, she really did. "Peri!" Lapis yelled, almost screaming.
Peridot felt a stinging sensation in her eyes. She balled her fists and stopped in the doorway. "Peri don't leave me, you said you'd be here all night!" Lapis sobbed.
Lapis' mother was now shouting at her, making her cry even more. Peridot couldn't take it. She didn't like to hear this.
"Stop!" The blonde girl shouted, turning around. Lapis' mother scowled. "And who do you think you are to tell me-" Peridot cut her off.
"Just let me stay here with Lapis. I don't think she can make it through the night like this." Peridot blushed. Lapis' mom stared at Peridot for a moment, then looked back at Lapis. The blue haired girl was now curled in a shaking, sobbing ball.
"Ugh, fine." Lapis' mother sighed. "Thank you Mrs. Lazuli." Peridot smiled. The tan woman gave Peridot a nod before exiting the room.
