Back At School

It was now Monday.

Lapis and Peridot had spent the whole weekend together at Peridot's house. It was nice, and Peridot really enjoyed having company. Lapis got in the habit of cooking dinner every night.

They woke up to Peridot's alarm, which was still David Bowie's Starman. Peridot groaned and slammed her hand down on the alarm. She then gently nudged Lapis awake.

"Oh, morning." She heard Lapis' voice come from the crook of her neck. Peridot smiled and got out of bed. "We've got school today, Lapis. Get up." The blonde girl said.

"I know, I know." Lapis smiled. She hopped out of Peridot's bed and gave the other girl a kiss on the forehead. "We will be the talk of the school." The blue haired girl whispered.

"Is that a good thing?" Peridot asked. Lapis giggled, "Of course it is! I want people to know we're together."

Peridot nodded and grabbed some clothes. She picked out a Led Zeppelin t and another pair of black jeans. She had a lot of those.

"You can go get changed in the bathroom if you want, I'll change here." Peridot said to Lapis. The tan girl rolled her eyes. "Here we go again, Peridot's afraid to change in front of her girlfriend." She smirked.

"I am not, I'm just not ready yet. Go." The pale girl frowned. Lapis sarcastically blew her a kiss as she walked away. With a sigh, Peridot began to change.

The blonde watched as Lapis walked out. She was wearing a grey shirt with an anchor on it and some jean shorts. Geez, Lapis really loved jean shorts.

"Ready?" Peridot asked as she grabbed her book bag. "Yep." Lapis replied. They walked out to Peridot's car together.

"You want to stop by the coffee shop?" Peridot asked Lapis as she began to drive. "Please." Lapis smiled. Peridot smiled back and headed to the coffee shop, they had a few minutes to spare anyways.

Once they got their coffee they were back in the car and heading to school. "We have science together." Lapis reminded Peridot. "I know." The blonde girl replied.

"Red light." Peridot frowned. She stopped the car impatiently. Lapis then got her phone out.

"What are you doing?" Peridot asked. Lapis then kissed her cheek and took a picture. "Lapis don't send that to anyone." Peridot said.

"I'm not sending it to anyone, I'm just gonna put it on Instagram." Lapis smiled. Peridot sighed, "Fine."

She noticed that she let Lapis get away with anything she wanted. She just couldn't say no to her. The light then went green and they were on their way again.

"You're dating?!"

"Goals!"

"Oh my god I can't believe it!"

"Congratulations!"

"What's someone like Lapis doing with someone like her?"
