Sehun's POV
After a tired ,long and sick day at school,I finally reached home.
"Mrs.Nana ! I am home! " I declared ,dumping my bag on the sofa and as I went towards my room,my eyes fell on the door of my bother,Chanyeol's room.
A small sigh escaped my lips.
It had been almost five years or so since I last saw my brother,the only person that I could call family.
Last five years,He has been really busy with his studies,college life and has been trying hard to adjust in a foreign country so even I didn't feel like forcing him to come home even for a little while,I knew he had more important work apart from looking after his brother.
I wanted him to have a good life there too but I couldn't deny the fact that I missed my brother very much.
And Like a small kid,I reached for his door knob and twisted it.
I stepped inside his neat room and sat on his bed as I looked around his room.This room was,of course not new to me,but it felt like it had been ages since this room saw life or movement.
"Sehun-ah,are you back?"Mrs.Nana,our maid and our caretaker came inside the room,smiling.
"De"I replied,smiling back.
Mrs.Nana also was really close to hyung .She had literally brought the both of us after our mom died and being a big businessman,dad was never even home so he could not take care of us,so Mrs.Nan was our only PARENT.
Looking at Mrs.Nana,I missed hyung even more.
"Happy birthday,big boy,You went to school without telling anyone,so I couldn't wish you.How was your day?"she asked.
"Thanks,Mrs.Nana,my day was just fine."I said,sadness clear in my voice.
"Missing Chanyeol-ah,aren't you,hun?"she patted my hair softly.
I nodded as I caressed the bed sheet.
"By the way,your dad sent you a bouquet of flowers and guess what,a new phone !You'll love it! It is the latest model."she said,full of excitement.
I knew she was going to say that.My dad,the richest man in Busan was not a person to be able to come home on days like these,he'd just send these unwanted costly stuff !
"Yeah,no biggie in that.From the past ten years all he has done was give me these kinds of materialistic stuff which I don't need."I said,tersely.
"Yes,son.I agree.But he's also your father ,try to understand his situation too"She explained,running her fingers through my hair.
"Yea,I get it but ten years,Mrs.nana,ten years is a huge time.You tell me ,what use is money and power if he can't even fulfill this small wish of his son!"
She sighed,she knew I wasn't in the mood to talk about that man who claims to be my dad.
"okay...I'll leave you here now."She said.
Just then,there was a knock on the door and we looked at each other.
I cleared my throat and said,"Come in."
"Sehun,sir?"A familiar face peeked inside the room and Mrs.Nana screamed with joy.
"Hyung!!!!"My eyes widened seeing my brother afyer five years.
I ran towards him and hugged him tightly.
"Hyung!! Why didn't you tell me that you were coming??Huh??Wae??"I cried as I hugged him.
I know that it was lame of me to cry like this but its been years since I even talked to him.
"Yah!Pabo! if I would have told you then how would this be a surprise,huh? Happy birthday,man."He laughed in my ear.
He hadn't changed much ,he's still the same brother that I would never get bored with.
"Chanyeol-ah...You've grown up,son"Mrs.Nana kissed his forehead and he smiled.
She said,"You're dad has organised a dinner table at the best restaurant here.Get ready ,okay?"
I sighed.Wy did she have to mention that man right now?
I was about to answer rudely but Chanyeol answered instead of me.
"Okay,Mrs.Nana . We'll get ready as soon as possible"
She smiled and left.
"Don't worry ,Sehun.I am taking you to our favorite kimchi shop.Kaja!"he said.
I smiled and looked at him with enthusiasm.
"Really?"
"I swear! And you have to get me up to date with everything that's going on.Like school,friends,movies,songs..and maybe girls..."
I laughed loudly and he laughed too,just like the old days.
That was the best birthday gift ever.Like THE BEST birthday gift that someone has ever given me.
