"Are you happy with your husband,honey?"My mom's sweet voice rang in my ears just like the sound of soft music.
How could I just destroy her happiness like that?How could I tell her that I WASN'T happy with Baekhyun?
"Of course,mom"I said,a forced smile creeping up my lips.
"Well,Then.We'll meet soon,darling"she said and stood up to leave from our house.
She stopped at the door and kissed my forehead."Looks like my decision of an arranged marriage for you and Baekhyun turned out well."
She then turned around and left.
I closed the door and sighed,tears pooling in my eyes.
"You wish that it would've turned out well,mom.."i muttered to myself.
My grandmom always used to tell me that one can fall in love even if it's an arranged marriage.She was wrong.I and Baekhyun have been married for a year exactly(today is our one year anniversary)but still we don't love each other.
I love him...A lot but I am the only one in love.He only considers me as a friend.JUST a friend.
Why is that I am the one in love and not him?!I have some things that I expected my future husband to do but here I am....all my wishes flowing into the water.
I was so immersed in crying and thinking that I didn't hear my phone ringing but when I did,I immediately picked it up.
"H-Hello?"I stuttered.
"Hi,Jess.Thank god you answered...come to the dorm.We're watching a movie ,you should come over too"Baekhyun's super excited voice boomed through the speaker.
"Nae..I'll be there.."I said and immediately left for Exo 's dorm.
I might not get the husband-love that I deserve but I wanna spend our first anniversary with him,no matter what.
I reached the dorm within five and after making sure that I look presentable,I made way to the dorm.
"You're late..."Chanyeol pulled me inside as soon as I knocked on their door.
Reaching inside,I realised that there was no light inside.
"Uh ,oppa?Why is there no electricity?"I said.
"I don't know.What the hell is wrong ,guys?Anyone here?!"He yelled.
"Hyung?Noona?Come to Suho's room"That was Sehun's voice.
''kaja"he whispered and led me to their leader's room.
We had taken a few steps when I accidentally bumped into the dining table and hurt my foot.
"Shit!"I muttered ,touching my foot.
"Yah!Jessie?Are you okay?"Chanyeol asked.
"I'm fine-" "Stand where you are,I'll get a torchlight"He said and left me in the darkness.
I held a chair to stable my balance in this darkness(which was kinda scary as hell).
Suddenly,I felt two arms wrapping around my waist."Omo!!!!"
"Sshh!!You yell a lot"His voice was sweet and cute like always.
The lights came back and what I saw next,was breathtaking.
"Happy anniversary,Jessie"Baekhyun whispered.
I couldn't believe my ears.Was this all my imagination or this was actually real?!
"Baekhyun, having fun alone?"Chanyeol said,smirking and soon all the guys gathered ,with Baekhyun still back hugging me.
Baekhyun broke the hug and I turned around to face him.
His head was low but I could see that he was smiling nervously.
"B-baek?"I cooed.
He looked up at me and knelt on one knee.I could have sworn that I couldn't breathe at that time.
"Papakasalan mo ba ako?"He spoke in my mother tongue ,Tagalog.
He always used to ask me about small terms like 'hi' ,'thanks' etc in Tagalog but I wonder how he managed to say such a complicated phrase in Tagalog.
I looked at him,tears falling from my eyes.
"Yes"I said and threw myself at him.
The hug was not like any other hug we've ever had.It was different.It made me feel loved.
"Sarangahe"He whispered ,caressing my hair with love and I cried even harder."Nado saranghae,Baek"
"Hmm..Uh!sorry to ruin YOUR moment but what does that mean?Whatever he just said"Chanyeol interrupted us.
We broke the hug and giggled at his silliness.
"It means 'will you marry me,again?' "Baekhyun answered him,entwining our fingers together and smiling widely.
